I was at Walgreens Saturday night and the shelf tag stated buy 1 Skintimate or Edge, get $2.99 RR. I didn’t see anything about the $3.59, but maybe I didn’t see something in the fine print. One of the Edge products was on clearance for $2.19 at three of the four Walgreens I visited this evening. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of it, but I think it was the orange one. I figured it will be a good $0.70 MM, but if they’re printing $3.59, then it’s a great MM!

sorry – meant a $0.80 moneymaker on the Edge….

3 Kate March 29, 2009 at 8:36 am

I bought Softsoap bodywash ($3.99 minus $1Q from today’s paper or ALL YOU) and it gave a coupon for a free one… which I used. And it gave a coupon for another free one… etc… etc… etc!

I can’t find where the Skintimate or Edge RR deals are anywhere. I didn’t see any mention of them in A Full Cup either. Is this just a regional thing? I am in Southwest Ohio.

Crystal, I read this today in my local paper and just had to pass it along:
The USDA’s official definition of monthly food spending budgets:
For a family of 2 adults and 2 kids under age 5:
Thrifty: $524
Low-Cost: $664
Moderate: $819
Liberal: $1014
(the budgets are further defined by various family sizes, but I just listed the above one b/c it’s average)

I was shocked to read this, as our family of 4 spends just $200/month on food (thanks mostly to your wonderful site!)! Certainly, there are some regional price variances that must be included in the USDA’s assessment, as I suspect food in NYC is much pricier than here in TX. But, the “thrifty” budget still seems like an awful lot to me!

The sneaky Reynolds people now have that you can’t use the mfr coupon on 20 or 25 sq ft, so you can’t use the mfr coupon with the Wags in-store coupon. Too bad!

7 Jenny March 29, 2009 at 1:38 pm

I noticed that the Reynold’s Wrap coupons started excluding the 20 sq. ft. rolls–which means no more free aluminum foil.

Thanks for all the info you provide to us…It sure saves me a lot of time and you find deals I would never figure out…

I had a coupon for $1 off any One-A-Day adult or teen mulitvitamin product (not sure what circular it was from, but it was expiring 3/31) that worked for the drink mixes! If anyone else has that coupon, it will make them free plus $1 overage after the rebate. Just wanted to share!

10 ashley March 29, 2009 at 3:22 pm

My walgreens had mentos gum for $2/2. With the $1 off coupons it was free!

11 charlene March 29, 2009 at 4:02 pm

Crystal there is a $1/1 Hall’s coupon in todays SS that makes a slightly better deal.

12 Jessica Riggins March 29, 2009 at 4:25 pm

I didn’t see the shaving cream or gel advertised in the store or ad as having RR, so I didn’t take the chance. Also, the Life cereal coupon was for the Maple and Brown Sugar, but only the original Life is available at my Walgreens. Is there a different coupon or are others finding the Maple and Brown Sugar? (There is a $1/2 for the regular which would make it $1 each after everything)
Thanks!

I went to Walgreens and bought the Softsoap body wash that was on sale for 3.99 and used my coupon. Then it was to print off a coupon to use on my next purchase to get another for free, so I did that in a second purchase. In my second purchase my free one printed off another coupon for a free one, so I went and grabbed another one. I ended up with 4 body washes and have another coupon for another free one. I only paid for 1 and used a coupon. I could have kept going, but I needed to get home, so I stopped. I will go again this week to see if it continues to print those off, but I thought others might try it and see.

15 LeAnna March 29, 2009 at 8:29 pm

Just wanted to let you know that in the clearence section of my walgreens there were tons of Crest Pro-Health for 0.94 a tube and a ton of Oral B toothbrushes for 1.29. I was able to use a 0.75 coupon and 1.00 coupon on the toothpaste…and to top it all off there is a $5 rebate if you buy 4. So it was a nice little money maker….readers be on the lookout!

LeAnna

i love this website!
I just wanted to share. Hall’s has a coupon in the Sunday papers 03.29.09 for a free pack.
So you get Hall’s valued at 1.99 for free.

The Glade Soy Candles rang up at $9.99 and didn’t see them in the ad anywhere. Did I miss something?

Sandy

18 Tracy Parral March 30, 2009 at 12:17 am

Maybe I just missed it but I didn’t see you put in the Soaftsoap bodywash RR deal. Buy on Soaftsoap bodywash $3.99 get a RR for a free one. There were .75 off coupons in this sundays papers and I seen a $1.50 off coupon in the CVS magazine with Jennifer Aniston on the cover and may have also been one in All You. These Soaftsoap bodywash’s are going to be doing just like the Irish Spring’s bodywash did a couple of weeks back. I went to day and bought mine for $3.99 with the .75 coupon and got 5 more to go along with it.

19 Melissa March 30, 2009 at 11:35 am

SandyK
My walgreens has 2 sizes of the soy candles. The smaller ones work for the deal.

20 sarah b March 30, 2009 at 3:19 pm

anyone else not get the 5$ rebate back from the conagra tomato sause last week. i just got the email for my rebates and it didnt include that $5.00… could it be because i did it in the three separate transations???

21 Laura March 30, 2009 at 9:14 pm

They did not have the Maple & Brown Sugar Life cereal at my Walgreens, but the coupon worked on the regular Life cereal.

22 Beth March 30, 2009 at 9:59 pm

the coupon for the Pepsi is not working.

23 Lindsey Laudie March 31, 2009 at 3:49 pm

Sarah B – I had the same problem, but I bought the chicken broth. I called their help line and they had on record that I had bought the amount that I did, but they based it off of the sale price, not the retail price. So it showed I didn’t buy enough because after the sale price I hadn’t quite spent $10. Has anyone else had this problem or has this worked for anyone else?

24 Amanda March 31, 2009 at 8:20 pm

I think the CVS Reinventing Beauty magazine with Kate Hudson had a rebate for the True Shimmer Chapstick in it, for up to $2.99 I think. I thumbed through that one and the one with America Ferrara today at CVS. I accidentally bought the America Ferrara one, mistaking the expiration date, but both have expired Qs as of tomorrow. Crystal, maybe you can confirm if there is a rebate for the Chapstick in the magazine with Kate Hudson? That would make it free and a $1.99 money maker after the RR, rebate and before tax! I didn’t see this mentioned anywhere!

25 ThriftyPuppy April 1, 2009 at 6:48 pm

I got the Conagra rebate and I did 3 different transactions.

26 Suzanne Wells April 2, 2009 at 6:04 am

Thanks for the tip on the Rimmel mascara. I was assuming it was only valid at Walmart since that is so boldly written on the coupon. Of course, every Walmart I go to is out of it! Will try the CVS deal. Thanks for clarifying that.
