Target: Pop-tarts for $0.40/box, Special K for $0.54/box, and more!

Target has Pop-tarts on sale for $2.40 this week and when you buy five, you'll get a $5 Target gift card. If your store allows you to use more than one of the same Target coupon per transaction, you can buy 10 boxes of Pop-tarts, use 5 $1/2 Target coupons, and 5 $1/2 manufacturer's coupons (from yesterday's newspaper inserts) and you'll spend $14 plus tax our of pocket and get $10 in Target gift cards back. So you'll end up spending $0.40 per box of Pop-tarts after the coupons.

This deal also works with Special K cereal, which is on sale for $2.24 each this week. If you have 5 $0.70/1 coupons (I'm not sure what insert these were from) you can buy 5 boxes at $2.24 each, use 5 $0.70/1 coupons, and you'll spend $7.70 plus tax out of pocket and get a $5 Target gift card, making the boxes of cereal $0.54 each after the coupons and gift card.

Thanks for the information on these deals, Nicole!

Also, you can likely still get broccoli and cauliflower for $0.50/head. See more deals at Target this week here.

The Kellogg’s coupon was in the 2/22 Red Plum insert.

Was this an advertised deal? Will it work at all Target stores? I am in Orlando. Thanks for the info.

I don’t think everyone got this coupon. It’s not in my 2/22 Red Plum.

Was this deal in your Target ad? I just checked and I don’t see the Pop Tarts deal in my VA ad.

We do have a deal for a $5 GC when you buy two bags of Purina Dog Food. We are getting low and I have coupons so I’ll probably do that deal.

I also found a 55-cent off one coupon at
http://www.poptarts.com/moms/#/section/coupon
This is only good on the Chocolate Banana flavor and you can only print the usual 2 per computer but if you have access to 5 computers (maybe at work) then you could get the pop-tarts for 30-cents per box after coupons.

Just be advised that the Target coupons say one per transaction now.

This isn’t related to Target but I wasn’t sure how to post it somewhere else. As you know you can now put coupons on your Kroger card from online. While doing this I found that you can triple coupons!! For instance I bought some go-gurt and it was 2 for 4 my Kroger doubles coupons up to $1.00 so I used my .75 coupon off and got 1.50 off and then I also had a .75 coupon on my Kroger card so I ended up getting $2.25 off bringing my go-gurt to about .87 a box! I don’t know if this is some kind of glitch they haven’t worked out yet or just another great thing about Kroger but I thought I’d share the wealth!!

I tried to use a Target coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon today and when the second wouldn’t go through the cashier told me I could only use one per item. Has anyone else had this happen there? (I’m in the Houston,TX area.) Thanks.

I have the same question. I don’t see the $5 gift card offer in the St. Louis ad. Thanks!

Wondering if these deals are going on in the dallas/fort worth area? I didn’t see them advertised in the circular.

this offer DID NOT work on my Special K RED BERRIES at Orem Utah Target. I think only Blueberry is on sale.

At my store in Cincinnati, OH, only the Special K bars were included, not the cereal, so I could not use the .70 off any Kellogs Cereal coupon. Bummer!

same here… didn’t work and ads are completely different here. I am beginning to think Target ads are no longer widespread.

I took an extra trip today to go get some of these target deals— i was so disappointed– none of the same sales, and none of the items were anywhere near the same price– The broccoli and cauliflour were no where near .50 cents a head even with the coupon… the goldfish were priced 1.99 to 2.09 –rats–i was really hoping to get some .67 cent goldfish!

ohh well— I came out great at Publix though— Wow!

This is even sweeter if you have the $1/1 peelies. You will purchase 5 boxes for $4.50 and get a $5 GC, making .50 profit! The peelies were found on various boxes of Whole Grain Pop Tarts.

Our Target here will not take internet printed coupons

Found another Target deal for Milkbone dog treats. Targets current sale is 10% the treats plus they have a $1/2 coupon online and there was a BOGO Free coupon a few weeks back. It makes 2 boxes of treats $1.55 instead of $5.60

19 Laura February 24, 2009 at 9:17 am

The $1/1 peelies looked like a great deal to me too, but it is written very clearly on the coupons that they are only to be used on the box they were taken from (whole grain ones) and to voided unless removed by cashier. Please be sure to read these coupons carefully to keep the deals coming for the rest of us

Kids love Poptarts. Can’t wait for the coupons!

21 Annette February 24, 2009 at 9:10 pm

This was an unadvertised deal. It worked at my MN store. I’m not sure what all Kelloggs products were included; for sure Pop Tarts & Special K bars. I wish I would have known about the Target coupons though! Oh well, still a good find anyway….
