CVS: Mylanta money-maker

Currently in February, if you buy any Mylanta product at CVS, you'll earn $3 ECBs (Limit 5). It is being reported that the Cherry Extra Strength 12 oz. bottles of Mylanta are ringing up at $3.65. (You'll want to price check these at the scanner at your store to make sure they are ringing up at this price.)

If these are ringing up at that price at your store, you can use this $2/1 coupon or the $2/1 coupons from the 1/04 inserts to get these free plus $1.35 in overage after coupons and ECBs.

Thanks to The Thrifty Mama for passing along this deal!

Thank you for the heads up! It never hurts to have a bottle of this around, and making overage doing it is the best way I know.

I actually have a $3 coupon, which would make it a $2.35 moneymaker! I can’t wait to go tomorrow and see if I can get this deal to work!

I did this deal today. Just make sure you buy the ULTIMATE STRENGTH cherry flavor, NOT the maximum strength. Has to be the Ultimate in order for it to be marked down to $3.75. $3.75 – 2 Q = $1.75, but get back $3 ECB. Yeah!

I went to three stores today and they were completely out! Oh well…

Where in 1/4 is the coupon? SS? RP? Thanks.

It didn’t work at my CVS

This deal worked great for me today! There were only three bottles though =(

Not on sale at my store… :(

Debbie Lynne February 8, 2009 at 6:13 pm

It wasn’t marked down at my store – bummer.

Chris February 8, 2009 at 7:11 pm

Is the shelf marked with this price?

Nancy February 9, 2009 at 8:26 am

It was on clearance at my store but only this flavor. Yeah, I snagged 4 bottles! (No wonder it’s on clearance—sounds vile!)

I did this on Saturday. The shelf price still says it is $7.xx, whatever your reg. price may be at your store. I scanned it and it was $3.65. I got 4 b/c my coupons were $4/2 ANY Rolaids, Mylanta, x, or x product (I don’t remember what the last 2 products were). And it was for the ULTIMATE strength, cherry flavor. I got 12 ECBs back.

Sent hubby this morning. This is what he reported:

mylanta regular price 7.29 on clearance for 3.65 coupon for 2 dollars off makes it 1.65 and you get back 3.00 in extra bucks

on the second one i bought the cashier actuallly gave me the 2.00 coupon back on top of everythig else lol

so 6.00 in extra bucks only spent 4.40 and got the 2.00 coupon back

I did this deal today. The limit was 5 so I printed 5 coupons. There were only 4 on the shelf, so I only bought 4. Shelf said $6.xx? I asked up at the register and Mngr said they are ringing up $3.50. Got $3 ecbs and used $2 coupons with no problems. He did key them in manually. This is a good thing to have for emergencies. I am going to keep 1 and donate the rest.

I went to 2 stores and have only been able to find 1 so far. boo hoo!

Thanks for the head’s up! I needed to run to CVS this morning anyways, and there were 6 on the shelf! I also had 3 $3 coupons from December that were still good. I used a $4/2 coupon on the other two, and came out about $10 ahead.

Amina February 9, 2009 at 7:10 pm

oe, the coupon is in the 1/4 RP with the JCP glasses ad on the front (there were 2 RPs and 2 SSs that week).

In mine it was a $4/2 Q rather than a $2/1.

Thanks for all the information on the goodies! I appreciate all you do!

rae February 10, 2009 at 11:38 pm

worked fabulously! Thanks as usual!

Lisa February 14, 2009 at 7:44 am

Thanks for the heads up!
Went to CVS yesterday-no price, so took to register. Price rang up as $3.69-$2 man q=$1.65+$3ecb=$1.35 money maker. Coupon says one coupon per purchase, not one coupon per item. Not sure if they are sticklers on that but I will try to get three more in one transaction using my ecbs to purchase them if there are any left in stock.
