where do i get the coloring book? I am interested in doing the Flinstones vitamin deal. I dont have the rebate but it still seems to be a decent deal since we use these anyhow. thanks.

It’s a good week at Walgreens!
Thanks,
Mercedes

3 Heather January 6, 2009 at 12:50 pm

Crystal,
You mention an internet printable coupon for Stayfree, but didn’t include a link. Could you tell me where to find it?

Thanks much.

4 Jenni January 6, 2009 at 12:50 pm

I saw on a thread at Coupon Cravings that for those who already got the link for the coupon emailed to them, when they go to print, at the end there’s an option to email the coupon to friends. I emailed it to my husband yesterday (1/5) and he was able to print it out on his computer. It’s not as direct as an internet link, but if you know someone who got the link, even if they’ve already printed their own coupons, ask them to go back to the link and email the coupon to you.

Also, it was advertised that Ben and Jerry’s was 2 for $6. Here in Northern California, it’s 2/$7, but it’s still a great deal!

The stayfree maxi pads at my Walgreen’s were $7.29 – so I got two packs for $.36 (with tax) – still not bad!
Christmas stuff is 75% off too. I used my RR towards buying some stuff, since the RR can’t be used towards products that are being bought with manufacturer coupons. The RR is technically a manufacturer coupon, so unlike CVS EB’s, they can not be used in conjunction. :-|

6 Donna January 6, 2009 at 12:50 pm

Boy, wish I’d known! We’ve already used our Ben & Jerry’s coupons. Anyone have any they’d be willing to sell? (and get in the mail pronto!)

7 Shelly January 6, 2009 at 1:05 pm

Hunt’s tomato sauce is on sale 3 for a $1.00 with the WAG q and if you use the IP q of $1.00 off 3 they are free. http://www.startmakingchoices.com/promotions/coupons.jsp?cookietest=true

8 J January 6, 2009 at 2:11 pm

That tomato coupon is for 11 oz and the walgreens sale are 8 oz. Darn!

9 lee January 6, 2009 at 2:11 pm

you got 50 cent off pamolive coupon in last paper? mine were for 25 cents off.

10 joan January 6, 2009 at 2:11 pm

I believe that the South Beach bars (Kraft) is an Easy Saver Rebate of $5 WYB $15 not a RR. Rebate #29.

11 Jerri January 6, 2009 at 2:28 pm

When I go to the Kellogg’s link and click on the $1 coupon, it opens up and says there are no prints available at this time. That’s one I’ve never seen before. ???

12 Lori January 6, 2009 at 4:19 pm

I’m new to all of this…I have a crazy question about the coupon stacking…most of my coupons say that you can’t combine with any other coupons so how are you able to stack them? Is this legal?

13 Kristi B January 6, 2009 at 4:40 pm

When I went to the Flintstone’s link there are only coupons for “One-a-Day Adult Vitamins”. Is there a different link? Thanks for all you do!

14 MeghanM January 6, 2009 at 4:42 pm

I’m having problems finding the kellog’s coupon as well:S I clicked on a coupon link and it said no prints avail at this time..was that the wrong coupon?

15 Melody January 6, 2009 at 4:42 pm

I just got back from my Walgreens and the clearance Sunsilk weren’t eligible for the Register Rewards! Sad! :( They were on clearance for $2.19 each, so w/ my $1 off coupon, they were still a good deal, but not fabulous!

16 Angie January 6, 2009 at 10:35 pm

I actually did the Stayfree today and got 4 pkgs. of 48 for 6.99 each all for free after coupons. Not the 24 pks that are 2.99 here in Missouri.

17 Christie January 7, 2009 at 8:06 am

tried to print the flintstones Q- is it the adult one a day or is there a different one?
also tried to print the stayfree Q- says the campaign is over.

18 Michelle January 7, 2009 at 8:06 am

My Walgreens doesn’t have the Elelctrasol on sale. I noticed that a lot of the walgreens has a 20 page add where mine only has an 8 page ad. This is very frustrating.
I also can’t print any Flinestone coupons, does anyone know where I can get some of those coupons?

19 Blaire Ruch January 7, 2009 at 8:06 am

In your Flintstone’s scenario, you will pay $2 oop. You will not make $6.

I bought 4 Flintstone’s vitamins and called Bayer to confirm that you can get a rebate on all 4. The rep checked with her supervisor and the answer was, unfortunately, no. You only get credit for 1 of each product listed on the rebate form. I said to her, “well, it doesn’t say clearly either way if you can do multiples of the same item or not.” She said, “even so, it’s meant to be a rebate for just one of each, and you will only get a rebate for one.” Oh well :(

I think it’s still a great deal to get 4 for $2, though.

Also, Walgreens incorrectly advertised the Flintstone’s gummies vitamins as “One-a-day vitamins” I don’t think you will get credit from the Bayer rebate for buying a One-a-day product when you buy the Flintstone’s gummies. My receipt doesn’t say anything about one-a-day. It just lists them as Flintstone’s gummies. And the package does not have one-a-day on it. Bayer’s website does not have anything about one-a-day on the Flintstone’s part of the site.

HTH…
:)

I am very new to all of this. Could you tell me what the Smart Source Insert is? Is this like each stores weekly add paper??

21 Nicole January 7, 2009 at 9:36 pm

I’m frustrated. I am doing this Walgreens thing for the first time this week. Your site is AWESOME! But for some reason, in my paper this week (1/4), I didn’t have ANY of the insert coupons you mention … i.e. Garnier, Stayfree, palmolive, etc. Did I just get a bum paper? And when I went to the Kellog’s site there was nothing in the lower right corner. Am I missing something here?

22 Meghann January 7, 2009 at 9:36 pm

My Walgreens wouldn’t let me do the Garnier deal. After they rang it up for .99 they wouldn’t take the manufacturers $1 off coupon because it was more than the price of the product. She called it coupon fraud. This can’t be right especially since by the product in their ad it said “coupon savings in Sunday papers”.

23 Michelle January 7, 2009 at 9:36 pm

Where is the Bayer Rebate form?

24 Jaci January 8, 2009 at 7:22 am

I have a question, too! What are the ‘inserts’ that are referred to? I’m familiar with the Smart Source inserts (for the person asking…these are coupon inserts in your Sunday paper) but I’m not sure what is meant by just ‘inserts’. Example is used in the Stayfree, Electrosol, Garnier, etc listings above.

Thanks!

25 Honey January 9, 2009 at 11:19 am

Lori, it’s perfectly legal to stack a manufacturer’s coupon with a store coupon. One discount is from the store the other is from the manufacturer. It says that on the manufacturer’s coupon because the manufacturer does not want you to combine say $1 manufacturer’s coupon with a .50 manufacturer’s coupon-otherwise they would have just printed the coupon to say $1.50 off. Hope that helps. Also see moneysavingmoms tutorials in her archives for more help. And I recommend “the coupon mom” book for advanced coupon strategies-they have it in ebook form.

26 Maria January 9, 2009 at 11:25 am

To Nicole: I did not get any of the coupons listed this week in my paper either (I’m in Battle Creek, Michigan). This happens to me quite frequently. Different areas have different newspaper inserts.

27 heidi January 9, 2009 at 11:25 am

I’m glad I read the comments above about only buying one of each item for the bayers rebate. There are two other deals I found at Walgreens I did not see listed. If you buy the Vent Expressions Air Freshner look on the back and see if inside you don’t have a free refill coupon. Mine did. Also, In my coupon insert in the sunday paper I had a 9.99 coupon for the Freestyle lite blood glucose monitor and my ad says those are free after a rebate on the package – so you’d make 9.99 on that deal. Also Sally Hansen had the Lip inflation Buy i get 1 free and the sunday paper inserts had 1.00 coupons for those so you could get two for about 5.00 depending on the price atyour Walgreens

28 Maria January 9, 2009 at 11:25 am

To Meghann: Some Wag’s cashiers are fussy. Once you have been doing this a while, you will find certain cashiers who will ring all your coupons. Just go back another day and try again. I am lucky, we have 4 Wag’s here in Battle Creek–so I just go to a different one when I get a bad cashier. Also, sometimes the cashier’s will change my coupons to make the item free–instead of paying overage.

29 Patrice January 12, 2009 at 9:07 am

I bought the 4/$10 kellogg’s cereal at Walgreen’s this week. I used 4-$1/1 coupons. It didn’t print my $3 register rewards, so I asked the manager about it and he said if I used manufacturer’s coupons it wouldn’t print the rewards. Has anyone else experienced this?

30 Catherine at Frugal Homemaker Plus January 12, 2009 at 9:09 am

The South Beach deal did not work for me, and they would not accept my coupons. However, there is a 5 dollar rebate if you got six boxes (which I did) so I bought them anyway. They were still an okay deal. :)
