For those of you who have prescriptions, if you transfer your prescription to Walgreens, you can get a $25 Walgreens gift card using this coupon. This coupon is good through April 28, 2009. A few exceptions apply, so be sure to read the fine print.

I took advantage of this deal and did eventually get my 25.00 gift card but it took over a half hour of waiting… no one in the store, including the assistant manager could find a gift card to work and didn’t know how to process this! The store manager was at a monthly meeting and not available!!! Horrible experience!

Does anyone know why these prescription coupons are NEVER good in the state of New York? Drives me crazy, ’cause I could sure use the money to lower my prescription costs.

Maybe it’s just me, but this wasn’t a good deal for me. My Walgreens wanted $20 to join their club to get a 90 day supply for $12.00. I normally get this RX at Target for $4 and I don’t have to join a “club”. I said, no thanks!

I got taken by that last time too, elizabeth. AND After they took my money, etc. Turns out they couldn’t sell me a 90-day supply after all and the 30-day supply was significantly more expensive. So I ended up spending $40 for a $25 gift card! Aigh! I’d have shut it down and gone to Wal-mart at taht point except that I’d sent my husbadn to handle it and he didn’t know…

(there were more hassles involved as well)

Don’t know if anyone else has done this… When there was a Rite Aid prescription/gift card deal, I had printed it, but forgot what store it was for and dropped off the prescription at CVS. When I asked the pharmacy if they take competitors’ coupons, they said, “Sure, no problem!” and found their instructions-sheet and gave me the $25 gift card. So you may not be stuck using the store on the coupon!

Shopping a couple days ago in Goody’s store, which they are all going out of business, the clerk told me that Walgreens is another one going out of business. Perhaps you have some information on that…but I for one, will surely be sad if they do…it has enabled us to give a lot of things away and to try out new things!
