Thank you SO much for posting about this! I ordered 15 books, and shipping was $2.26 so it comes out to $1.15/book! Another Scholastic deal I love is ordering their workbooks on Amazon. They have quite a few for $4.99 each. When you buy 3 you get the 4th free and if you hit $25 (before they take the free one off) you get free shipping too. I usually pay about $3/book that way. They are some of our favorite workbooks for elementary age.

Do you have to do anything special to order as a homeschooler? I’m new to homeschooling as my daughter is only in pre-school, but I wasn’t sure if I needed to do something special.

Thank you so much! I got 13 books and paid 15.25! That is amazing! My son is special needs and learning to read so this is so much of a help!

You can order more than $10 and still get the 2.25 shipping. Great deal! Thanks!

Yay! Thanks for pointing to that!

I ordered 22 books and the shipping was only $2.26. So I only paid 24.26 for all 22. That’s a great deal.

I rec’d the note about the sale a week or so agi (I get advance notes because I am registered with them) and I was happy to buy 9 books for my homeschool classroom.

Hi Crystal,

Just a quick note that you can always get free books through Usborne Books, too! Free is even better and the books are very high-quality, engaging, etc. We love them!! I apologize if this is too “adsy” but just wanted to post that. January is also the month where Usborne does “DOUBLE FREE” books for their hostesses :) .

take care and I missed your blog when you were on your “staycation” but appreciate it even more when you’re back!

Warmly,
Mary in MN
http://www.ubah.com/N2509 is my personal Usborne site, although the double free books is available from any consultant….

This is awesome! We are planning on starting homeschool next year and I was able to get us 13 books for $15.25! Very nice
When I checked out, I selected the “My school is not listed” option and filled out the school info with my home address and “Homeschool” as the name of my school.

Thank you so much for posting this–great deals! I ordered several activity type books, and also several books that will help prepare for the mandatory standardized testing that our state requires at certain grade levels. What a great help!

Thanks for posting this, I ordered about 20 books and had no problem checking out as a homeschooler! What a great deal, all the new ideas will energize the remaining 2009 school year- many thanks :)

I got 21 books and still only paid 2.25 for shipping. Wow what a deal!!! I got books for my 3yr old and my 10yr old. However, I think the 3 yr old will enjoy them most (she loves workbooks!). I am hoping these will add some variety for the 10 yr old and give me some new ideas!!!
