Belinda January 20, 2009 at 10:05 am: I heard on the radio that Macy’s and Nordstrom’s are giving away free makeup, due to a class action lawsuit. I am not sure if it is a specific brand or what the details are. As soon as I can get to the mall I will let you know the details.
Lisa January 20, 2009 at 11:50 am: Belinda: It’s different brands that are participating (clinique, l’oreal, vera wang perfume, …). All you have to do it show up, sign a form and pick out the item you want from a list. Items are available while supplies last. Dillards is also participating. I went this morning and got some anti-aging night cream.
Donna January 20, 2009 at 1:42 pm: I just came from Bath and Body Works. I found some hair stuff for $.40 and get the lotion for free. they let me use the voupon 2 times. Thank you for the link. While at the mall I also stoped by Macys to get some free stuff. They gave you one item for each time that you were in line. Took me 40 minutes to get in to 5 lines and I got 5 items for free.

Someone Being Me January 20, 2009 at 3:50 pm: I wanted to let you know that I scored some great baby deals at Target today. Both the Targets here in my town had serious clearance prices on lots of baby stuff. I picked up a video baby monitor for half price plus bedding, sleepers, a baby book, and a changing pad cover. They also had clearance prices on some bigger items like a carseat, stroller, bouncers, boppy covers, etc. They were getting picked over pretty fast but it is worth checking out your local Target. My mom checked her Target in Houston and they also had the clearance prices. I also scored some toy deals for up to 75% off.
Katie January 20, 2009 at 3:51 pm: The lines in Columbus, OH, if anyone else lives here are horrific. Not worth 2 hours at Macy’s (at Easton) for a $20 mascara or lotion. Lucky you who didn’t encounter waits…

joan January 20, 2009 at 5:28 pm: I just got back from Boston store. 4 people in line in front of me and no one behind me. Not sure if the product was worth an extra trip. (I was already going into town, so it was for me.) There were about 10 products to choose from: 3 shower gels (2 womens 1 mens) LanCome sunscreen, Clinique gel creme, Estee Lauder anti-wrinkle, and Channel lotion. Things that I don’t think I would ever buy at those prices. Even though I was a Cliniuqe girl at the time of the law suit.

a.k January 20, 2009 at 6:56 pm: scored a free full size lotion and free full size spray after buying shampoo and conditioner for a dollar! of course hubby had one coupon and so did i. We cant wait to use these items as suprise gifts, or part of a bigger gift.
Heather January 20, 2009 at 7:20 pm: Okay, here’s the scoop from Savannah, GA. I went to two department stores. The first one was Dillard’s and it was nearly empty, probably because the choices were slim. They had three shower gels, mascara and sunscreen. I ended up with a 6.7fl oz Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker Shower Gel. Not sure if I’m going to use it or gift it. While I was there, the security guard made a rude comment right in front of me, “You would think you were giving out government cheese” to one of the ladies behind the counter. I was tempted to respond with a nasty remark along the lines of, “Well, I’ll remember that tonight, in the shower, while I’m using my free shower gel.” I held my tongue and moved on to Bath and Body Works.

They took my coupon, no questions asked, which is better than most places. I ended up buying a refill for my car air freshner, which was on sale for $5 and getting a $12 Wild Honeysuckle hand cream for FREE. I’m happy and my car smells good again.

The second store was Macy’s and they had a very short, very organized line. They, too, were almost out of everything with about 5 product choices left. All the fragrances were gone at both stores, which is what I had hoped to get. I ended up picking the Lancome Primordiale Cell Defense…turns out this retails for $64! Can you see my smile through the screen?

I even stopped by CVS on the way home and grabbed some deals. Good Luck all!

Jessica A. January 21, 2009 at 7:19 pm: Thanks for the coupon info.! I headed to bath and body works after work with my coupons in hand a a gift card from Christmas. I ended up getting $55 worth of items for $1.07 ($11.07 without the gift card). They has a huge selection of items- everything from shower gels to body butters on sale for $5 and $1 for many travel size items. I’m heading back there tomorrow with another coupon to get a birthday gift for my sister-in-law.
