I’m new to couponing, and the DeMet Turtles were my first real overage. When I went to buy them at Walgreens, the coupon wouldn’t take. I hadn’t read your blog yet to see that it might need to be adjusted down. Can you explain why some coupons result in overages and others need to be adjusted down? And also how do you direct the cashier? Do they have to manually type in the value of the coupon? I had a young cashier who had no idea about coupons. Thanks.

To max your value on the Turtles, do some math ahead of time and get more boxes than coupons so you can get the full value of the coupon redeemed. I bought 11 boxes with 7 coupons!

Has anyone tried using the 11/14 coupons for the Luminaries? The Luminaries are only 6.7 oz. according to the package, not 6.75 oz., so I’m not sure if the coupon is supposed to be used for these.

I got 2 Aquafesh whitining strips that were clearanced at Wags for $7.19. There is a coupon for $7 off from All You (I think)-so these were .19 each. If you are like me and want to try a whitining product, but don’t want to pay the usual $14.99 for them you can try them for a lot less. Be on the lookout as some other Wags may have the same reduction.

I can’t seem to find any Russell Stover chocolates with the appropriate size and price to use on the rebate…the ones that qualify seem to be 9.99….Any ideas?

Brianna, they’re probably out of stock. Try possibly another WAGS. I’ve been doing a lot of driving lately due to family issues. The stores around here run out of cool (cheap and free) stuff pretty quickly, but the ones on the other end of town (big metropolitan area), not so much. It appears they might not have as many savvy Internet couponers. The further I go north, the easier it is to get stuff.

Don’t we all need more chocolate? Lindt chocolate bars are on sale 2/$3 at Walgreen. I had a .75/1 coupon and a BOGO coupon. I bought two and when paying I first gave them the .75 coupon and then the BOGO. There were no problems and no beeps. The cashier was impressed that the computer took both coupons and was going to run home and get her coupons. So I got two bars of Lindt chocolate for .75. Yahoo! Stocking stuffers!

Brianna,
We finally found the Russel Stover chocolates in a very large special Christmas display set up in one of the aisles. It was filled with all kinds of boxes of Christmas chocolates.

So I looked at the Olay rebate gift card thing. There is a place to put down the $ price of the item, do you put down the price that it’s selling for, or the price you paid for it? And it didn’t seems clear, if I was supposed to send the acctual reciepts in. Thanks, I’m new to this all.

I got the Duracell 16-pack of AAA for $9.99, then used a $5 Holiday RR and a $1 manufacturing Q. I’ve submitted the request for the $3 rebate off Duracell with ESR, so after coupons and rebates, it’ll cost 99 cents.

I also got the three activity books for $1 with the in flyer Q.

I’m still a newbie, but I can see improvement in what I’m able to get. This is cool and fun. These are all Christmas gifts.

Oh, and with the deal above, I’ve got my first $9.99 toward the $50 P&G deal. Not. Bad. At. All.

This is such a cute site and these little fairy wings and tutus are so popular with the little girls.

That comment was for the Princess Me!site.

The Turtle coupons work as long as your dollar amount off equals the dollar amount of the Turtles- you can’t use fillers- the 1.50 will come off with out beeps as long as you have that amount in money on the Turtles. So for one coupon use 2 boxes- I used 3 coupons on 5 boxes and spent .44 of my GC money- not too bad for 5 boxes of Turtles!!!

I tried using two Coffee Mate coupons at my Walgreen’s and they wouldn’t let me becuase they were B1G1.
