Target has Gillette Fusion razors on sale for $7.99 this week and when you buy two, you get a $5 gift card. In Sunday's paper, there was a $4/1 coupon in the P&G insert. So if you buy two razors at $7.99 each, and use 2 $4/1 coupons, you'll pay $7.98 out of pocket and get a $5 Target gift card back.

This makes the razors approximately $1.49 each after the coupon and gift card which is not a bad deal, especially considering these retail for around $10 each. And for those who don't have the luxury of getting free razors at CVS, Walgreens, or Rite Aid, this is a pretty sweet deal.

If you have lots of the $4/1 coupons, you can do this deal multiple times. These would make an inexpensive stocking stuffer for the guys on your Christmas list.

I went to take advantage of this deal yesterday and my Target would only accept one coupon, even though I was buying two razors. A manager appeared out of nowhere to tell my checker to only take one coupon of each item, regardless of how many items I’m buying. According to Target customer service, this is up to each store’s discretion, but I’ve never had this problem before. Bummer!

I’m confused, what is the P&G insert?

Thanks for all your help!

I bought one Fusion razor with a $4 coupon and one Venus razor with a $4 coupon that Vocalpoint sent me. I thought it was a great deal and plan to use them for stocking stuffers.

@Gillian:
P&G insert is an abbreviation for Proctor & Gamble coupon insert that comes every once and while in the Sunday paper. There are coupons for lots of P&G products in it. And usually they are pretty high value coupons as far as coupons go :)

Hope that answers your question!

On the coupons it says one coupon per purchase. Maybe that is why they will only accepted one at Target?

These are great razors. I got them for free from CVS and plan to use them as stocking stuffers too. Thanks for the Target tip!

Purchase means “item” not transaction. I know it’s useless to argue with cashiers/managers at Target, but you should have been able to use two coupons for two razors.

my husband works at Target, and he told me that they are getting really strict with coupons. (this is not his call, obviously) He said that it is being talked about lots and that they most likely won’t be accepting internet coupons anymore. Not that this has a lot to do with this post, but, I thought you might like to know.

If you have enough coupons can you do this deal more than once in a transaction or do you have to pay for each separately?

My husband loves these razors! I was able to hit 2 targets and buy 2 at each using 2 $4.00 off coupons. I spent $16 oop and have 2 $5.00 GC for Target. So after the GC they came out to $1.50 a piece! Not bad!

This one worked great for me! I had enough coupons to do the deal three times. So I spent $12 oop and ended up with six fusion razors and $7 left on gift cards. Thanks!

I am new here, but figured out the razor thing myself, I was really happy. I did it once, and bought paper towel (with a coupon) instead of getting another razor. I had to show the lady the advertizement to even get the gift card. Also if Target is having issues with printed coupons why do they have them on their site?
