there is also the crest pro health buy at 2.99, get 2 ecb, limit 2, and I have $1 off coupons.

Leah December 22, 2008 at 5:10 am

Did anyone else have a problem checking out at midnight? Here in Chicago, at least, I was told that the 2-day sale doesn’t start until 6am Sunday.

Cori December 22, 2008 at 5:10 am

There is a $3/2 coupon for the nailpolish in the CVC beauty coupon book.

Catherine copeland December 22, 2008 at 5:14 am

I’ve just started blogging but I’ve been doing ecbs for quite some time. any suggestions for a bloggy newbie

Lindsay December 22, 2008 at 5:14 am

Great week at CVS. I was able to roll over all of my ECB’s earned the day after Thanksgiving (and then some). I was very excited about the Arm & Hammer new Essential cleaner, but my CVS does not yet carry them. Bummer!!

MILISSA December 22, 2008 at 5:14 am

The Right Guard deodorant (I bought the spray b/c that’s all they had at my CVS) had a $2 off coupon on the inside of the box. I discovered this when I got home…I only bought 3 (b/c again that’s all they had)…but I was annoyed when I put it away, I felt I left $6 on the table. So check the Right Guard boxes for this coupon. The good news is the coupon doesn’t expire until 12/09…so there is an opportunity to make it up. :)

I love FREE at CVS!!!

Martha December 22, 2008 at 5:14 am

I don’t think you can use a coupon with the ThermaCare wraps because the 1 ct. is a trial size and the coupons exclude trial size.

Good luck finding the freebie items! Both of our stores were pretty much out of them by 11 a.m. today. We got a couple things, but that was it.

Jenny December 22, 2008 at 5:14 am

Does anyone know if you can get the rebate form online from the 10/19 SS insert? I still have my SS coupon packet but there was no insert in it. Thanks!

Jena December 22, 2008 at 5:16 am

If you don’t have a Loreal coupon you can print one from their website $1/1 and you can print multiples!!

Shelly Olson December 22, 2008 at 11:17 am

I had a problem in Chicago as well went back at 6:00 when they opened and they informed they were already out of the Listerine and the cleaner. I asked them how that was possible and they informed me that they didn’t know ! So they gave me rainchecks?? does anyone know how this works will I still get the overage with my coupons???

Most of these freebies were not advertised in the flyer or at the store (with the item tags). So I was unsure if they were participating in the ECB deals. Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Sherri December 22, 2008 at 6:32 pm

Funny thing about rainchecks- one store gave me one for the Right Guard and wrote the $6 ECB on the paper. The other store said I couldn’t get a raincheck for that item, but she had 1 in the back she could sell me (she opened a package of 8 but would only give me 1). Went back to that store today and bought 1 more, but this time I was told I could get a raincheck for the sale price but not the ECB offer. Three different employees and three different answers. Go figure. I thought the 8-digit code in the flyer is what will generate the ECB when we buy it later. Nobody wrote that down, but I will save the sale paper to show them when I use the raincheck.

Jessie December 22, 2008 at 10:45 pm

I went to 2 different CVS’s and they were out of so many items, some of which they didn’t even carry. (i.s. the Arm & Hammer cleaner). The manager offered on her own accord to give me comparable items for free (instead of ECB’s) PLUS, she accepted my manufacturer Qs i had for the advertised items toward the items she subbed! I love CVS! (I’m in Charlotte, NC.)

Saving Money for a Wedding December 23, 2008 at 10:03 am

I had great deals at Kohl’s and I love my free pictures. Happy Holidays and I love your blog.

Bonnie December 23, 2008 at 10:03 am

My store gives me rainchecks for any of the ECB items that they are out of and writes free w/ card right on the price slot. They wouldn’t give me the raincheck this time for the Arm and Hammer though, because it isn’t something they carry. Unfortunately, you loose your overage from your coupons, but if it is something you need, it is still free.

Vicky December 23, 2008 at 11:52 am

The way rainchecks work at my CVS is – the form is filled out with the purchase price and the amount of ECB’s supposed to receive. When I turn in my raincheck the item is zeroed out and I basically get it for free. I don’t receive ECB’s back but I also didn’t have to use any. Since the promotion is over the cash register isn’t programed to generate ECB’s for that item any more so the only thing they can do is to give it to you for free. Does that make any sense at all?
I was able to get all the items listed for the 2 day sale!!
The Arm & Hammer cleaner was set up in a display and had flyers on how the cleanser basically works. Inside the flyer is a rebate form for a full rebate back for a ‘try me free’ offer!
Merry Christmas

Andrea December 23, 2008 at 2:13 pm

By the time I got to CVS Sunday afternoon, over half of the “FREE with ECBs deals” were sold out. However, I got rain checks for everthing! The rain checks never expire!

Carrie December 23, 2008 at 2:13 pm

Doh, I totally missed that this was 2 days only and went looking for freebies today. Good thing they were all out of everything so I didn’t waste my money on something that wouldn’t pay ECBs.

Just too busy preparing for Christmas to CVS. Wah!

Saving Money for a Wedding December 29, 2008 at 6:37 pm

Check out the great popcorn tins I got!!

Liz December 30, 2008 at 6:56 pm

I am planning to start CVSing soon. I’m trying to understand everything first. When the ad says 5/$5 (for example this week you can get 5 boxes of Nabisco cookies for $5) do you have to purchase 5 items to get them for a dollar each, or can you purchase 2 for $2?

Melissa December 31, 2008 at 11:47 pm

I went to CVS today, last day for most of my coupons. Did great! I got the Schick Intuition Razor 3.99 with coupon plus received a $5 ECB; Gillette Fusion Power Razor $3.99 with coupon; Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner and Scrunching gel 2/$9 after coupons plus received $2 ECB; gillette body wash/shampoo $1.99 after coupon; and two rolls toilet paper b1g1 50% off with the first 89 cents, just cause I needed and was in too big a hurry to stop somewhere else. I also used a previous ECB and got additional $4.99 off my total. I spent $12.53 OOP on 29.?? worth of stuff. That was the best deal I have gotten at CVS since starting to CVS shop!! Happy New Year Everyone!
