I have not yet really tried to get the deals at Walgreens. I think this is the time to start.

Sunshine November 23, 2008 at 9:57 am

Thanks so much for posting all this!! I got up bright and early to get some of these deals and none of the ones I wanted worked.
I went to sign up for the Kashi coupon, couldn’t get one to show up.
Wanted the Altoids, no peelies.
The Werther’s caramel chocolate were ringing up full price, no sale in my area.
Other great deals to be had, I’ll have to plan my next trip better :)

Christina November 23, 2008 at 12:03 pm

Has anyone tried the tomatoe coupon yet? Wondering if it will work considerning that it says 11 oz. or larger and one on sell is 8 oz.

shawna November 23, 2008 at 12:14 pm

Just wanted to let you know that the EasySaver $1/2 Werther’s coupon is not for the Original Candies that are B1G1 this week. It’s for the chocolate version. My Wags wouldn’t let me use it.

Mrs. H. November 23, 2008 at 12:58 pm

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the Venus razor deal? I have several of the $4 coupons. Thanks.

Shannon November 23, 2008 at 1:28 pm

I am not sure the Werther’s deal is going to work. The coupons that printed for me are for the Chocolate caramel ones. These are 3.49 and not BIGI this week. This is also what the ES coupon is for :(

Kristin Norton November 23, 2008 at 2:54 pm

Just an FYI. The werthers that are on sale BOGO are NOT the same ones that the printable coupon or the DEC IVC are good for. The plain candies are on sale. The bags of new flavors like Chocolate Caramel are not on sale. Hope this helps save someone a trip.

amanda November 23, 2008 at 3:03 pm

I tried the candy deal at two stores but they would not honor it because they said the chocolate werthers were not included even though they in the right size range. calling corporate monday, let me know if anyone else has this same experience.

THANKS!

The Dr. Pepper 12 pks at my Walgreens in SC had a $1/1 peelie making them only $1.50.

michelle November 23, 2008 at 4:37 pm

We went today with all of our coupons lined up, and the cashier would not take our two $2.00 coupons for the Excedrin. She said that it would not allow her to take them both, because the one was ringing up free already and how could she take a coupon for something that wasn’t costing us any money. I explained to her that they have allowed us to do that in the past, but she would not hear it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Martha November 23, 2008 at 4:38 pm

hey I didn’t have the Sure deoderant coupon, so I went to their website to see if they had any there and they have one you can print off twice for a $1.00 off!

here’s the link:

Martha November 23, 2008 at 4:53 pm

I can’t find a kashi coupon with that link. I signed up on the kashi site, but still no coupon info to be found as far as I can tell?

Amanda November 23, 2008 at 5:20 pm

I am new to this “game” of saving and can not figure out the Kashi coupon. I registered but, did not get a coupon. Where do I get the coupon on their website?

Candice November 23, 2008 at 5:45 pm

You cannot use the $1/2 Werthers IVC because that flavor isn’t BOGO. You can still use the $1 off coupons and only pay .29. This is still a great deal!

heidi November 23, 2008 at 6:15 pm

I couldn’t find the Kashi coupon – where is it? Thanks.

Kelly Webster November 23, 2008 at 7:10 pm

Hi there. The Werther’s deal does not work as you have it posted here. The $1/2 Easysaver coupon from the Dec. magazine does not work with the Werther’s that are on sale for B1G1. The Werther’s that are B1G1 are the original Werther’s and the coupon is for the Werther’s Chocolate Caramels which are not on sale (retail for $3.29). Just an FYI…

Tiffany November 23, 2008 at 7:48 pm

Am I just misunderstanding something? I went to Wags today and the werthers candies are not the same as the coupons. The coupons are for the wherthers chocolates at 5.2 oz and the BOGO is on the hanging bags…..
I ended up not getting it bc the 5.2 oz bags are over 3 dollars….maybe I was looking at the wrong thing…let me know!

mary November 23, 2008 at 7:56 pm

I could not get the candy today. The coupons from ESC would not scan because it is for the chocolate and the printables are for the same. The Werther’s chocolate is not on sale. sad for me. I was wanting some free candy. : ( I hope others have success.

mona November 23, 2008 at 8:17 pm

Hi Crystal,

For the hunt’s tomato sauce… the manufacturer coupon can only be used on size 11 oz or larger… the sauce that is on sale in Walgreens is only 8 oz.

Just FYI. Thank you for your site. I love it!

I placed your icon on my site so that others can discover your wonderful blog. :)

Regards,
Mona

Werther’s coupon for a different product, didn’t work with sale.

wendy sterk November 23, 2008 at 9:24 pm

Where do I get the Kashi coupon?? Can’t find it? LoVe you blog by the way. Thanks for all your hard work! blessings!

Crista November 23, 2008 at 9:48 pm

Crystal,
The Werther’s Originals coupons are for a new kind of Werther’s (chocolate caramels, I think?) which are priced at 2/$6, so if you used all the coupons, you could get 2 for $3, not the free plus 71 cents overage. The Walgreens coupon plus the printable coupons are all for the same item (this new Werthers candy), not the original Werther’s candy which are indeed B1G1 free.

I can’t find the Kashi coupon from this link. Where should I be looking? Thank you so much for all you do to help us live more frugally!

Andrea Bell November 23, 2008 at 11:29 pm

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know there is a printable $1/1 SURE coupon. The link is http://www.suredeodorant.com/coupon/. Thanks for your great blog!

MJ November 24, 2008 at 7:59 am

The Hunt’s deals don’t work for my area, our coupon was for 11oz cans or larger and the sale is on smaller cans :(

Leslie November 24, 2008 at 8:11 am

The werther’s deal doesn’t work at my walgreens. The werthers that are on sale B1G1 aren’t the same candies that we have coupons for and that the easy saver is for. The Werther’s Chocolates are $3.39 each.

Stephanie November 24, 2008 at 8:43 am

I am hooked on your site! The tips about stacking coupons has saved me a lot already. But I ran into a problem this morning when I tried to use a $1.00 manufacturer’s coupon for the Sure deodorant that I printed from my computer to go with the $1.50 WAGS coupon. My walgreen’s wouldn’t accept it and said they won’t take any internet coupons except their own. Anyone else have this problem?

kate November 24, 2008 at 4:29 pm

Hey. Thanks for all the great info again this week. Just thought you should know that all your couponing tips have helped me impress my husband so much he wrote a sweet/funny post about it on his blog (ktownlowdown.com)- and he linked to your site. Thanks

Julie November 24, 2008 at 9:44 pm

Stephanie,

I read somewhere recently that some Walgreens were OR would be phasing out printable internet coupons. I don’t know if all Walgreens will be denying them at some point or not….I hate to see that happen :(

Sophia November 24, 2008 at 11:07 pm

Thanks for the great information! Unfortunately, my Walgreens has programmed their computers to either (a)not allow overage, or (b) not allow stacking a manufacturer’s coupon with an IVC. I can’t figure out which it is since all of my coupons beeped, even though I presented them in the right order. (These have worked perfectly in the past, and I see they have worked perfectly for a number of other people.) Oh, and they suddenly decided to enforce limits on certain items, which happened to be the deodorant this week (nothing else) – limit of one per person. None of the deals worked right for me, except the Hershey’s candy. I ended up paying way more than I expected, but all in all they weren’t overly BAD prices. Is anyone else having any trouble like this?
