Holy cow, Erin! Did you flute your crust with your finger and thumb?? My mom learned to do that eons ago when she and my dad had a restaurant, and I've NEVER seen someone else do it. Not even Martha!
My sister and I learned from my mom, but I've yet to see it duplicated. It's SO easy and quick!

Regarding spices, some frugal sources of spices are the $1 store (in our area its called Dollar Tree), Big Lots, other Dollar Stores ($ General, Family $), and last ,but not least, is a co-op or health food store. Normally things at a health food store are not cheap, but if they have a bulk section, you can get spices, cereal, nuts, oil, etc without buying huge quantities or without paying for the bottle, printing, etc. You just weigh your container you bring from home or use their little baggies. If you bring yours from home, just weigh it, put in what amount of spices you want, then weigh it again to find out how much to pay. Your store may have a different method, but the honor system is used where I live. I actually like this because you are only paying for the spice itself, and you only get what you need (no more 3-year-old spices wasted in your cabinet).

Where do you find the best prices for spices? I am almost out of ginger and nutmeg, but hate to pay grocery-store prices for the little cans. Does anyone have a great source to share?
