Target: Deals for the week of November 2-November 8, 2008

by crystal on November 3, 2008

KelloggsWeb

Target is running another great gift card deal this week: Buy 5 boxes of Kellogg's cereals and get a $5 Target gift card. Note: from what I've heard, this deal isn't available nationwide. Some stores get a free gallon of milk instead of the gift card. You all can let me know, though, if I'm wrong on that.

So here's how to maximize on this deal:

Buy any combination of the following cereals: Frosted Mini Wheats Strawberry Delight
(16.3 oz), Frosted Flakes Gold (16.9 oz), Smart Start (17.5 oz), Cocoa
Krispies (16.5 oz) and Special K with red berries (12 oz)–priced at $2.75 each
Use 5 $1/1 here (you'll likely need multiple computers to print that many)
$0.75 per box of cereal after coupons and gift card (Thanks, Marcy!)

More deals:

Pledge Multi-Surface Duster, Multi-Surface Duster Refills and the
Unscented Dry Cloths–$2.69

Buy 3 and use "Buy 3 Pledge Products, Get $5 Target gift card" coupon from 11/2 SmartSource insert
Use 3 $1.50/1 or $2/1 printable coupons here (can be used in conjunction with above coupon)
Free plus small overage after coupons and gift card (Thanks, Jaycie!)

Buy 4 Glade Scented Oil candle starter kits at $2.50 each
Use 2 B1G1 coupons (you can print 2 here and here)
Spend $5 plus tax out of pocket
Get a $5 gift card back
Free after coupons and gift card (see more details here as to how this can be a money-maker!)

Green Giant Baby Carrots 1 lb. bag–$0.99/bag (check your ad, not all stores have this price)
Use $1/1 Target coupon here (you can print and use as many as you'd like)
Free after coupon (Thanks, Living for Less!)

Prego Pasta Sauce (25-26 oz)–$1.67 each
Buy 2 and use $1/2 Target coupon here
Stack with $0.75/2 in the 10/5 Smart Source insert
$0.80 each after coupons (Thanks, Marcy!)

There is a bricks coupon for Kellogg’s cereal that will let you print 6 — yes, SIX!!! — times before telling you you’ve had enough. Not sure if your link when to that coupon or not, but keep trying when you print and you may get as many as you need!

Tammy November 3, 2008 at 6:32 pm

Our Tulsa, Oklahoma stores have the carrots 2/$3 so no free carrots here. ;-(

Valarie November 3, 2008 at 6:41 pm

check your local ads. like last time, it’s only a free gallon of milk in my area.

I’m new to your blog and finding it very helpful. I’m wondering are the Target deals only good at Target’s with grocery stores? Do I need a coupon for the $5 gift card or does it automatically come up at the register when those items are purchased? Thanks for your help!

At my Target today (Charlotte, NC), there was a sign where the milk was for “free milk when you purchase 5 Kellogg’s cereals”. Didn’t know if this was their version of the buy 5/get $5 gift card…

Cindy November 3, 2008 at 7:26 pm

The cereal deal is actually even sweeter: the Target online ad says you get a free gallon of milk if you buy 5 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal. . . .

I just got back from a Target this afternoon (Greenville, S.C) that was offering a $5 gift card with the purchase of 4 Glade scented candles priced $2.07. I don’t know if there are any coupons available for those candles right now or not.

I hate that my nearest Target is like 40 miles away as there certainly seems to be many great deals there.

This deal gets even better – you can make money off the cereal deal as there is a $10 gift check form available. Check it out…

I just got back from Target and ALL Kellogg’s cereals (and cereal straws) were included with the deal. Some were priced as low as $2.50, so the deal can be even better than expected.

Also, it seems the Gift Card is available in some areas, and the Free Milk is for other areas. (I got the gift card in Nebraska, my sister would get the milk in Florida)

Hey There,

I was wondering how you feel about the “full cup” coupons? I remember not being able to use them when they were having a lot of trouble with coupons. They all have the same serial number…Or at least used to?!?

I just like to make sure that I am using everything properly. I am thinking they are just like the CVS PDF coupons.

Please let me know….

Jessica

Money Saving Mom here: Target has given permission for A Full Cup to post and promote these coupons (at least last time I checked) so you should have no issues using them just like you would use coupons printed straight from the Target website.

My target had the Frosted Flakes Gold priced at $1.99 so if you bought 5 boxes of this they would be pretty much free, just pay the tax. There were also several more types of kellogg’s cereal included which weren’t listed in the ad. I picked up some raisin bran as well.

Jem November 4, 2008 at 8:09 am

My inserts do not have the Pledge Target coupon :(

I was allowed to print five coupons from the same computer! I was surprised.

UPDATE – I was able to get 14 of the $10 gift check MIR forms. I am doing a drawing for them so if you are interested, post a comment on my blog…

At my store, it wasnt always prompting the cashier for the gift card so make sure you point it out!

Rice Krispies are also included and they were $2.54 at my store.
I bought the RK, Smart Start, Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks and Blueberry mini wheats.

I also got the glade deal – the warmers with a b1g1 coupon and the candle refills with a $2/2 coupon. 50c after gift card!!! (had b1g1 coupons for the candles but they were all out!)

My cashier was so easy to work with and even asked where i got the Kelloggs coupons! LOL

nicole November 4, 2008 at 9:44 am

for my Target’s glade deal you need to buy In Style magazine. Has this happened to anyone else?

sheri November 4, 2008 at 10:02 am

@nicole … i read elsewhere that people were suppose to buy this mag but tried it without doing it and it worked…my target is selling the holiday glade candles for $2.50 but there isn’t a g/c deal..but with the B1G1 Q’s and the $2/1 Q they are only 25 cents…still a great deal!

**********************
Money Saving Mom here: From what I have read and heard, some Targets state in their promotion you have to buy the magazine but many do not. I’d read the fine print on the sign to see what it says. From what I’ve heard, at most Target stores, you only need to buy 4 Glade products to get the gift card.

Lana November 4, 2008 at 10:09 am

Has anyone had problems with a manager saying you can only use one manf. coupon per transaction i.e. Glade candles? Does anyone know about a Target’s corporate policy on this? Thanks.

Jem November 4, 2008 at 11:29 am

I just came back from Target and the shelf sign on the Glade deal there says “Buy 4 holiday Glade AND InStyle Mag. I asked a Target crew and coincidentally, she said she just bought 4 of them this weekend without the magazine and it prompted for a GC.

I’ve been to two other stores last week and both of them have different signs, one just says “$5 GC when you buy 4 Holiday Glade” and at the other it says “$5 GC when you buy 4 Holiday Glade OR Instyle Magazine”.

The crew was saying it might have been a misprint; I guess it varies by region.

I just went to our Super Targer (tulsa, ok) and all the Kellogg’s cereals were on sale- some as low as $2. I got a variety and ended up getting mine for $.72 each. I also took advantage of the Pampers diapers deal (buy two of the large packs on sale for $29.99) where you get a $10 gift card. I checked the price per diaper against our Sam’s club and I ended up saving $7.25 total from the Sam’s price when I added a $1 off coupon I had. Not bad!

lizzy November 4, 2008 at 9:38 pm

From what I can make out at my store it appears you have to BUY 4 ITEMS TOTAL. THIS INCLUDES THE CANDLES AND/OR MAGAZINES. (ANY COMBINATION) SO IF YOU BOUGHT 3 CANDLES AND 1 MAGAZINE THAT WOULD WORK OR 4 CANDLES OR 4 MAGAZINES.
IT IS BEST TO BUY 4 MAGAZINES SO YOU CAN USE 4 HIGH VALUE COUPONS BUT THERE IS A COUPON OUT FOR THE MAGAZINE THAT CAME OUT A FEW WEEKS AGO SO YOU COULD USE THAT ONE TOO IF YOU REALLY LIKE THE MAGAZINE.

lizzy November 4, 2008 at 9:40 pm

I did not see a pledge coupon for a target gift card in my 11/2 smart source.
Is this deal regional????????

soyebean November 5, 2008 at 1:12 pm

Thanks so much for all the hard work you do. I was getting ready to make my Target run to get in on the cereal deal, when I noticed they had Opti-Free contact solution on sale in the DFW area. While going through the 11/02 inserts I came across a coupon for Opti-Free. I thought it was worth sharing. Target has Opti-Free 2/$14.00 ($7.00 ea) Coupon is for $3.50 off one. So I got my 5 boxes of cereal then used my $5.00 GC and 2 Q’s on the 2 Opti-Free on #2 Trans. and OOP was $2.00 Total OOP was a little over $5.00.

tina b November 7, 2008 at 9:54 am

i live in Illinois…can anyone help me?

tina b November 7, 2008 at 9:54 am
