Staples: Free M products!

by crystal on November 10, 2008

LOGO - Staples Color

Use this coupon at Staples through November 21, 2008 to get any M product $5 or less for free! There is no minimum purchase and several items in the M line are under $5 including document files, pushpins, and binder clips.

Note: The coupon now states that it must be a minimum purchase of $5 or more. If you can find products for $5 or thereabouts, they should be free or almost free!

These would make great little gifts for teachers!

Thanks, Jane!

Hi Crystal,
I think they changed the coupon offer a bit. I just printed my coupon, and it says “minimum purchase requirement of $5 must be met…”

I just thought that some readers might want to know that :)

It looks like it says there is a minimum purchase of $5 — but you could still use it to get something free! Great deal!

Ummm… the coupon says $5 minimum purchase???

Still a good deal if you can hit the $5.00 exact or close.

M products are Staples store brand… My style… I think maybe S would have been a better name … S for Style… S for Staples…

I got 4 of the pocket note pads ($1.49each). Spent $1.03 out of pocket.

I just got 2 little notebooks, and a set of 3 little journals. They will make a great presents for the teachers.

No luck for me. I just came back from Staples. The cashier that scanned it said that it just wasn’t working. She was friendly and all so I don’t think she made that up. It’s strange to me that it doesn’t have any numbers. Maybe I missed something.

I ttried to use the coupon today (11/14). Staples had several “M by Staples” items– envelopes, note cards, scalloped cards– for under $5 but the cashier and the manager said the coupon would not be accepted since there was no coupon code even though there was a bar code on the coupon.

Had some luck at Staples. M products were slim on the racks and the employee said it was a relatively new brand, so they were just seeing how popular it would be. They didn’t have the small notepads I wanted, but I did find a “leather” receipt organizer with note pad inside on sale for $4.99 (last one!). The cashier scanned my $5 coupon and did have trouble getting it to read. The manager came over to assist and mentioned that the order had to be EXACTLY $5 or more…since my item was $4.99 it would not read. I quick grabbed a $0.52 fiber-optic pen from a bin on the counter, making the total purchase $5.53. The cashier tried to scan the coupon again, and the manager then realized it had to be $5 worth of M products only, but he over-rode the register and gave it to me anyway. How nice! It’s a relatively new Staples in my area and I will check back with them for the pad refills…I got a great receipt organizer and cool pen for $0.53!!
