FYI: Those tearpad coupons say “One coupon per customer” so I doubt you can use two in one transaction.

I wanted to tell you the Black Friday Deals for Walgreens and CVS or posted. Go to http://bfads.net/–just thought you would love to know

Honey November 15, 2008 at 7:44 pm

This week CVS will have Russell Stover (among others) bags of chocolates on sale 2/$5. There were coupons in recent inserts for buy 2, get 1 and BIGI. If you did BIGI that would make the bags $1.25 each or if you did B2 get 1 it would be 3 bags for $5 or $1.66 each-these are nice for stocking stuffers.

A couple of weeks ago, there were coupons in the sunday paper for Zantac. Well, beside the coupons, there was a mail in rebate form for Zantac. It states that they will send you a $6 check for purchasing any Zantac item, so if you get it at CVS for $4, get $4 back with ecbs, you can then get another $6! sweet!

Katherine November 15, 2008 at 8:12 pm

Thanks for posting the deals so early this week!!! You’re awesome!

Davonne November 15, 2008 at 9:09 pm

I’ve read everything you’ve written about CVS, and I just made my second transaction tonight. I spent $21 and used a $3 off of $15 coupon, PLUS I got $9 in EBC, and another $3 off $15 coupon, so the next time I go I should only have to spend $3 in cash (I think)!

My question is this: What are the 9/21 RedPlum and SmartSource inserts, and how do I get them? It looks like having access to those things would make me save a lot more! I also want to know if there are other magazines or whatever that I need to get to maximize my savings.

AND – You may already know, but Kroger is running this deal on Honeysuckle Turkeys. 10- 15.9 lbs for $8, 16- 19.9 lbs for $10, and 20- 24 lbs for $12. So, if you get the largest size turkey for whatever price you want, it’s only $0.50 per pound!

I think the Glade deal posted above might be wrong? Wouldn’t it be Buy 8 glade for $2.50 ($20) use 4 B1G1 ($10) get $10 ECB ?

Thanks for pointing it out though…I have my $10 ecb from the Hershey deal this week that I’ll be rolling over for that deal! These will make great fillers for Christmas baskets!

Have a great week! Thanks!

*****************
Money Saving Mom here: Ooops, don’t ask what I was thinking. It’s fixed now! You can just buy 4 and use 2 B1G1. Or you could buy 8. Either way works since the limit is 5.

Davonne November 15, 2008 at 9:11 pm

Oh, here’s a link: http://midatlantic.inserts2online.com/customer_Frame.jsp?divID=029&drpStoreID=00783

It says prices good through today, but I just got the paper about it in the mail this afternoon, so I’m pretty sure they’re running the sale next week too.

Carrie November 15, 2008 at 10:53 pm

I haven’t had time for CVS lately with all the Catalinas at Jewel, but I’m psyched to get free moisturizer and batteries! And then I’ll have more ECBs to use on Black Friday.

MoneySavingMadness November 15, 2008 at 10:54 pm

I just noticed a better scenario for the batteries:
Buy 1 pack at $9.99
Buy 2 packs at $5.99
=$21.97
use 1 -$5/2 CVS Duracell coupon
use 4 – $1.50/1 Duracell coupons
(-$11.00 total)= $10.97 get $15 ecb

KJ November 15, 2008 at 11:10 pm

I found a printable BOGO here: http://www.glade.com/offers.aspx?offerId=102

It let me print the coupon twice. :-)

andrea November 16, 2008 at 1:31 am

hey just a heads up…really watch to make sure your battery ecbs print out!! went to our 24 hour cvs, and the deals start at 12:01
i spent 67 on batteries broken up into 3 transactions, and i only received 1 15.00 ecb !
i didnt’ realize it till i got home! because i was working with so many different ecbs and coupons…

needless to say ill be calling cvs 1-800 number..
has anyone else ever had problems like this?

Taylor November 16, 2008 at 3:38 am

Hi Ya’ll I cant seem to find the $1.50 coupon off duracel batteries. I looked back in my 10/26 inserts and they were not on any of them. Thank you for your help.

Thanks MSM for a great post.

Dionne Merriott November 16, 2008 at 6:58 am

Thanks for posting the deals so early. I try to get all my shopping trips planned on Sunday afternoon so that I can be ready whenever I happen to be by CVS or Walgreens. Last week I finally got the Listerine at the 4th CVS stop. I did find that all of our CVS stores already have their fall decor on clearance so I was also able to pick up some nice things to decorate my home for cheap!

Honey November 16, 2008 at 8:03 am

Davonne,
Smart source, Redplum and P&G (proctor and gamble) inserts are the coupons that come in the newspaper. You need to find out what day so you know when to buy the paper. Ours come in the Sunday paper. Some people buy two papers or ask friends and neighbors for their coupons if they aren’t planning on using them. Also, some people “dumpster dive” to grab a few-but make sure its legal! At our recycling center, I bumped into a gentleman who brings his papers there and does not use his coupons. He agreed to bring them to the center and the attendant agreed to save them for me (since its very illegal to take them out of our recycling bin). And my library saves their for me too since they get lots of papers. Nice people in TN. Hope that helps.

Honey November 16, 2008 at 8:05 am

I’m confused. Some people are posting about Zantrex, others about Zantac. Can anyone clear the air? If not, I can get the sales flier later today…

Tausha November 16, 2008 at 9:34 am

There were several right guard deodorants in my store that had a 55 cent coupon attached to them. They are on sale for $2.99 with $2.00 extra buck limit 5 so after coupon and extra bucks they are only $0.44 each. And this is my husband’s favorite deodorant :)

anon November 16, 2008 at 10:11 am

The Crest Pro-Health toothpaste worked as a Limit 4, not 2, for me. :-)

Christy November 16, 2008 at 10:35 am

I am a bit confused about the duracell deals that are posted and in the comments.

If you buy 1 @ $9.99 and 2 @$5.99, how can you use 5 coupons? Even if they let you stack the tearpad coupon with manufacturer’s coupons, you would only be ablet o use 3 MQ’s.

E November 16, 2008 at 12:22 pm

What is Zantrex-3?

SammyJ November 16, 2008 at 1:28 pm

I looked in my redplum and found only a .75 cents off of one coupon? Anybody else have the same problem?

Davonne November 16, 2008 at 1:37 pm

Okay, how do I get B1G1 coupons from the 10/12 SmartSource inserts???

What is a SmartSource Insert???

I have some ECBs to use, and I really really want those scented glade things!!!

Bonnie November 16, 2008 at 7:46 pm

Money saving Madness, only 3 $1.5/1 Q’s will work for 3 packs, still a good way to go though. This was my scenario for the batteries:

Buy 4 packs @ $5.99 each
Buy 4 Newspapers @ $1.50 each (filler to reach $20 for $4/$20 Q and 4 more durecell Q’s to do it again, limit 3)
Use $5/2 Tearpad Q from store
Use 2 $1.50/1 Q’s
Use 2 @1.00/1 Q’s (RP 11/16)
Use $4/$20 CVS Emailed Q

OOP $19.96, $15 ECB’s (Batteries free plus overage!)

Spend $16 OOP and Get $15ECBs

kathy November 16, 2008 at 8:31 pm

At Dollar General, you can buy one of the new energy saving GE lightbulbs for $4.00 and they have a $3.00 rebate mail-in at the store. You can use the recent $1.00 coupon and that would make it free.(you can get a rebate for 2 of them)

leah November 16, 2008 at 9:20 pm

my cvs said that when i tried to use coupons to save money on the batteries, i had to BUY MORE BATTERIES because now my total was under $20! i have to physically spend $20 on batteries, not buy $20 WORTH of batteries, to get the $15 ECBs. has anyone else had this problem? how do you make it work??? please e-mail me back. thanks! nystraldjo at hotmail dot com

Amy - Cutting Coupons in Kansas City November 16, 2008 at 9:43 pm

I found some great deals at Cvs this week.

Sharon November 16, 2008 at 10:09 pm

Just thought I would let everyone know. Hershey dark chocolate bars on sale this week for $1.00. There was a coupon in one of the inserts recently–can’t remember which one though–for $1.00 off which would make it free! There were also B1G1 in that same insert which would make them $.50 a bar which isn’t too bad either. :)

Amy West November 17, 2008 at 1:29 am

Moneysavingmadness- How can you use 4 $1.50 /1 when you are only buying 3 packs of duracells?

Just wanted to share that I was the “guinea pig” for the mgr at my favorite store last night to test the limit on the Crest. I bought 3 and it still doesnt say limit reached.

Jaycie November 17, 2008 at 2:14 am

If you are in need of more than just a few packs of batteries, I think the best way to go is to buy up the 16pks, which are on sale for $9.99 each. I put a scenario on the blog to get them for $.43 each basically. The $5/2 tearpad only works once, as it states.

Bargain Becky November 17, 2008 at 5:20 am

If you’re new, you might not know that you can “float” the remainder of the battery deal.

Limit is 3, so my first round, I bought $21.98 before Qs. Then the second time, I bought 2 big packs for $19.98 and got another $15 ECBs. I had $1.98 overage on my first purchase which counts toward’s my next round. Hope this helps!

Bargain Becky November 17, 2008 at 5:21 am

Also! The Glade Glass Scents have $1/1 MFCs in them! You can use them for another round!

donna November 17, 2008 at 9:28 am

I was able to use 2 of the $5/2 coupons in the same transaction without a problem. Here is what I did 3 times in the row (3 trips in one day, CBS is walking distance from my house): Got (4x$5.99) minus ($3/$15) minus (2x$5) minus (4×1.50) for the TOTAL: $4.96
Got back $15 and a whole lot of batteries for the holiday use. After 3 times I have $45 in ExtraBucks paying only $14.88 OOP.
I am not sure if I was just lucky but nothing beeped at any time.

Charlene November 17, 2008 at 12:35 pm

My CVS had some good deals on various facial cleansers that were clearanced at half price. I got an Olay mousse cleanser, marked down from $9.99 to $5, less a $3 Q from one of the recent inserts, for $2. Lots of different brands were marked for clearance.

Davonne November 17, 2008 at 2:27 pm

Thanks, Honey!

I can definitely get a Sunday paper! (Too bad it’s Monday, but my inlaws don’t coupon clip, so maybe they’ll let me have the ones from their paper this week.)

That seems easy enough… I can’t wait to visit CVS this week!

Susan November 17, 2008 at 6:57 pm

I got a good deal on deodorant. They have Soft & Dri for 2.99, get 2 back in ECB. I had a $1/2 coupon, making them $.49 after ECB, but when I got there, they had some with $.55/1 coupons so I used two of them instead, making them $.44 after coupons & ECB.

Amy - Cutting Coupons in Kansas City November 17, 2008 at 10:19 pm

I could not find the $5/2 tearpads . Should they be with the batteries?

Jessica November 18, 2008 at 6:16 am

When I get to my local CVS on Monday mornings all of the “Free after Extra Bucks” deals are cleaned off the shelves. I’ve been getting rain checks for those items…but still frustrating!

Dionne Merriott November 18, 2008 at 4:08 pm

On my first trip to CVS today my bill was .04 after my coupons and ECBs. The man behind me handed the cashier the change because he was tired of waiting!

I went three more times before the day was over, but that was the highlight!
