What is the easysaver catalog and how would I go about getting one?

2 Summer October 22, 2008 at 9:37 am

There’s also the St. Ive’s Elements deal…they’re on sale this week for $4.99 each with a $5 RR. Use the $2 off printable from St. Ive’s website or the $2 off from one of the previous inserts and it’s a money-maker.

My Benefiber rang up at 8.49 each. I’ll have to see if that was the wrong price, or maybe they are different prices in different states?

4 Maria October 22, 2008 at 10:31 am

Just wanted to add a tip, veterans probably already know, make sure to either be purchasing other products with the Pert deal or have a small filler. Unlike CVS where you would just lose your penny WGs will not do this, at least not at mine. I made this mistake and was in a hurry so my deal didn’t end up as great as I wanted.

All of the Walgreens in my area will not give RR if you use coupons. The last time I went I bought the Wisp flameless candle. I of course used my $5 off coupon so I got it for .99. When I asked why that didn’t print all the guy would explain to me is that I used a coupon so RR don’t print with coupons. I get really great deals at Walgreens, but this is frustrating. Does anyone know if this is a new policy or if its just here in my area?

Money Saving Mom here: Your stores are just misinformed on the corporate policy. It is often advertised in the ad to use coupons with the RR deals, so the next time you see that, be sure to bring in the ad to show your store. It works wonders! :)

6 Michelle October 22, 2008 at 11:24 am

The Easy Saver Catalog is located on a rack right inside the store. It will be right next to the weekly ad.

I went today and got 5 bottles of Pert Plus, 3 boxes of Benefiber, Recycle Bag, 6 candy bars (fillers) and Fiber One Poptarts and paid $12 wgc but got $10 in RR! Super fun and exciting since my total before coupons was $56 and only $12!!! I was super excited! Thanks for the tips :)

8 Rachel October 22, 2008 at 12:35 pm

I’m not sure- but I’m guessing my wags won’t do this deal because the RR is for the 24? count box and the easy saver q is for the 16 count box… anyone else catch this?
Or is anyone else successful with this deal?

9 kate October 22, 2008 at 3:14 pm

The benefiber deal did not work for me. In our add, it says 28 pk of sticks. the kiwi one only has 16. So the register rewards don’t print when you buy that product. It will if you buy another benefiber product, but then you can’t use the $5 coupon. The woman helping me even knew all the deals and we looked and examine everything in the add and it didn’t apply. So maybe different areas have different ads. I live in the Portland area. Is anyone else having this problem?

10 Stacy October 22, 2008 at 3:18 pm

So the Benefiber deal is working? My Walgreens paper is showing that Benefiber products starting at $9.99 will produce RRs. Thanks!

Money Saving Mom here: I haven’t tried it, but a number of others have confirmed that the 16-ct is working. Let us know if you try it and it doesn’t work for some reason, though.

I tried to use the October EasySaver coupon for Pert Plus today stacked with a manufacturer’s coupon and my Walgreen’s (new store) would not allow me to use both. Never had this happen before at any other Walgreen’s. Any thoughts?

12 Katy October 22, 2008 at 4:52 pm

Amy,

I’ve been told the same thing (about not being able to use a Mfr. Q along with an EasySaver Q) at my local Wags, and it irritated me so. I’ve found that my store has been looking for ways to thwart our couponing efforts, and will make up new “rules” on the spot if necessary. It’s very annoying. Perhaps try another Wags. Or next time, sweetly ask them to TRY scanning the EasySaver Q to see if it “takes” after using the Mfr. Q. Once it does, smile and say, “Wow, it must be okay to use them both!” You catch a lot of flies with honey, honey. : )

The Benefiber Kiwi 16 count package does work towards the RR deal, even though it is not stated in the ad. It’s like a hidden deal. Also, the package rings up for 8.49 in CT, as most things in CT are more expensive than other states. Also, if the cashiers are refusing to give you RR’s when you earn them (as in the case with the Glade Wisp buyer), ask to speak to the manager and to get the phone number for corporate, weights and measures, the catalina company and customer service. It is fraud if they do not give you what they have advertised they will give you. Lastly, Wags accepts Manu Q’s with the IVC’s, you just have to give the Manu Q’s first. Happy Waggin!

14 brenda October 22, 2008 at 7:51 pm

is the kiwi strawberry producing the RR? in my add it doesn’t include the 16 ct. but i’ve heard rumors that some are getting the kiwi one to work for them. my son uses this stuff so i’m up for buying some if it’s free or a money maker. just wondered if anyone got it to work with the kiwi??

15 Katherine October 22, 2008 at 9:39 pm

Oh my–I really had the worst experience at Walgreens tonight!! I tried to use two Triaminic coupons, and the clerk was able to scan one, but not the other. The manager came over and told me that the computer is set up to only take one of each type of coupon. I tried to tell him that that wasn’t true–I had two bottles of Triaminic, so I should be able to use two coupons. I also mentioned that I have never had this problem before and that I have sometimes used even 3 of the same coupon for 3 items. He pointed out that the coupon said “limit one per purchase,” and I told him that that was different than “one per transaction.” He basically insulted me for needing to use coupons, he told me that by trying to use RR’s and coupons I was “taking advantage of the system,” and told me that he couldn’t manually try to punch my coupon in “because it would be his job on the line if the system took it.” Does anyone know how I can complain about this? Is it even worth it? I was really being very nice, and I told him that I just wanted a real explanation for why it wasn’t taking my coupon because I knew that his explanation was incorrect. Should I try calling the corporate office? Any advice would be appreciated!!

I’ve done the Benefiber deal with the Kiwi Strawberry 16 pack and it worked great for me! Our ad also says that the RR’s are for the larger box, but they printed out just fine when I bought the 3 of them. It’s a great money maker! I was a little nervous at first b/c it wasn’t specified in the ad, but I figured with the coupons & ESC coupon i would only pay 2.97 oop anyway and it was worth a shot. I could always give to my mom to use or return them :)

17 Kristin October 23, 2008 at 1:05 pm

My Benefiber price is $8.49 here too…and my ad doesn’t include the 16 count box of Strawberry Kiwi…I’m gonna try it for RR anyway because I use that Benefiber drink mix already. I’ll let y’all know.

18 Brenna Kater, the Ocean Skater October 23, 2008 at 2:10 pm

Benefiber is $9.99 here & they didn’t have any Strawberry sticks, but I did get my free Pert Plus :)

19 Sarah October 23, 2008 at 3:56 pm

The $5 kiwi-strawberry Benefiber coupon in our Easy Saver was Limit 1 so I could not do the RR deal.

*******************
Money Saving Mom here: I’ve not tried this deal myself, but from what I understand from Walgreens coupon policy, you should be able to do this deal without a problem. The “Limit 1″ means that you can only use one EasySaver coupon per item. The coupon will automatically take money off of each Benefiber item you buy.

Hope that helps!

20 Kristin October 23, 2008 at 5:50 pm

So even though it was not listed as producing RRs in my ad, the 16 count Strawberry Kiwi DID indeed work…now I’m just bummed that I figured out it has aspartame. Duh! Someone should want it, right?

21 CouponNerd October 23, 2008 at 6:32 pm

I went to WAGs tonight and they made me mad!!!! I tried to buy Alka Seltzer plus Cold, which rang up at $5.49 (a different story all together) and used a $5 RR that I had to pay. I had to add 89 cents of my own money which was ok since I was going to get a RR of $4.99, right? WRONG! The RR did not print. When I inquired about it I was told that since I paid with a RR a new RR would not print out. Is this baloney, or a new policy? Please help!

Needless to say I returned the Alka Seltzer and got my RR back, right away!

This blows!!!!

22 Stacey October 23, 2008 at 9:51 pm

I had a similar issue as some others with manufacturer coupons and RR not printing. The manager stated he couldn’t override it or make them print, however he did tell me to call Walgreens’ customer service and have the transaction # off my receipt and explain the issue. He said that this had been happening with others and they had been successful in getting their register rewards reimbursed on a gift card or such. He agreed with me when I mentioned that it wasn’t stated anywhere that coupons couldn’t be used on RR items.
Perhaps this would work for those who had issues with RR not printing when using a RR.
I haven’t tried this yet, but will update when I get a chance.

23 Angie October 24, 2008 at 1:10 pm

I have done the Benefiber 16 ct. Strawberry Kiwi deal 3 times – it works. RR printed fine – no problems. It’s not advertised in the add as a qualifying item but, it’s included.

24 Laura October 24, 2008 at 2:07 pm

I tried to use the $2.50 October EasySaver coupon for Pert Plus today stacked with a $2 manufacturer’s coupon and my Walgreen’s would not allow me to use both like person above. Never had this happen before. Any thoughts?

25 Laura October 24, 2008 at 2:09 pm

My Walgreens is only allowing use of one RR per transaction so I guess I’ll have to buy items in separate transactions to use them. Anyone having this problem?

AND if you use a RR in a transaction you, for sure, will not be printed any RR no matter what the RR used/earned are for. At least that’s here. What about you?

26 Laura October 24, 2008 at 2:13 pm

Today is the first time I tried to use Oct EasySaver coupons (expire Oct 25) and the November EasySaver Coupons (start Oct 24) and the cashier was adamant about not being able to use them. I thought you all said I should be able to so she called the manager. The manager was going to check but was leaning toward NOT letting me use both until it got real busy and he authorized it. Has this ever happened to anyone? I haven’t ready this being a problem for anyone on any blog anywhere before. Talking the manager later, he said there is some emails going around management and he didn’t know really if this was covered or not until he had time to look into it more. But boy that cashier had her claws out as it I was ‘taking’ her money or something. Blessings all!

27 Leslie October 24, 2008 at 11:39 pm

I tried to do the Benefiber deal tonight and it would not work. =( The 16 count wouldn’t print the RR. So I returned them and pouted. I’ll try it at another store tomorrow and see if it will work. With all of the tiny Benefiber coupons we get every week…I was excited to finally use the little annoying things!!

Blessings,
Leslie

The benefiber deal worked for me, as described. I am in eastern PA. Thanks for the info.

29 Jessica October 25, 2008 at 1:40 pm

I went yesterday to Walgreens very excited to get the PERT, Benefiber deal and the gillette razor all for $3.97 plus tax! It didn’t go well at all. They wouldn’t let me use my $2/1 along with the $2.50 ESC because it was over the worth of the shampoo. What do you do when there is overage? Is it allowed? Is this when a filler comes in, if so, what does that mean exactly? Also, the benfiber here in Los Angeles was $8.99 and she wouldn’t let me use the coupons together. How frustrating!

30 Carrie October 25, 2008 at 1:48 pm

Benefiber did NOT work for me in Illinois. I got 3 of the Kiwi 16-count sticks, just as advised here, and they were priced $8.50. Used the Easy Saver coupon, which took off $15, and 3 manufacturers’ coupons, which took off $6 more. So I would have paid $4.50 for all 3, except I was using the $5/$20, so it was kind of a wash.

Actually NONE of the RRs I was supposed to get printed out at first. For one of them, the Theraflu deal, the clerk couldn’t find any reason so she rescanned the items, and got one to print out and gave it to me (i think one of the boxes was not producing even though it should have, so she scanned one of the others twice). For the Alka Seltzer, I had grabbed the wrong variety so she did a return and re-rang up the right boxes, and I got that one. But for the Benefiber, she showed me that the ad clearly stated which ones you could buy.

31 Kristin October 25, 2008 at 5:10 pm

The Benefiber deal worked for me! Thanks for the heads up on such a great deal!
