Walgreens: Dove chocolate bars for $0.20!

Dove Chocolate bars (regularly $2.39) are on sale B1G1 at Walgreens with
the in-ad coupon. Buy 2 and use 2 $1/1 coupons from the 9/7 Red Plum
insert to get them for about $0.20 each after the coupons.

2 Stephanie October 1, 2008 at 12:07 pm: I’ve had problems at my Walgreens lately using 2 coupons when there is a BOGO deal. They won’t take it since the second one is free. They DEFINITELY won’t let me use a BOGO coupon on a sale that is BOGO free. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

I ran into that problem last night Stephanie- they wouldn’t take my second $1/1 coupon. However, at my store there was a tag on the bars that said 2 for $3, and since I was able to use the B1G1 and the $1/1, I got two for $0.50. You might want to check on that for this deal.
For future deals, I find that it usually depends on the store and the cashier. As Crystal mentioned once before, I usually have my best luck when I check out at the cosmetics counter. Just a thought! I’ll be sending good luck chocolate vibes your way…

5 Sally October 1, 2008 at 2:13 pm: My walgreens took 4 $1/1 coups, and the 7 day bogo coup, w/o any beeps or issues! My kids were thrilled, bc they have been eyeing these bars. Lol! I did 4 trans back to back- and my cashier seemed sad when I was done. Rofl! My walgreens is very coupon friendly, they like to see how much I can save! Even the manager is always happy to see us! The only thing they were out of was dominos sugar, I may try a diff walgreens and get 4 more dove bars and 2 bags sugar w/ my $5 RR.
6 Tara October 1, 2008 at 2:46 pm: My Walgreens will not let me use 2 coupons when I am buying two items on a BOGO deal. Anybody else have this experience? CVS and Publix don’t have that policy.

I had the same problem, with them not accepting them, I was able to get my hands on a copy of their coupon policy and it says that they are not supposed to take 2 coupons when the item is on sale for BOGO. I guess the locations that do allow it either don’t care, or have a different coupon policy.
