Green Giant 1-lb bags of baby carrots are $1.29 (some stores have them on sale for $0.99!) at many Target stores. Use this $1/1 Target coupon to get them for $0.29 or free! (Thanks, Rachel!)
Remember, you can print and use as many of this coupons as you’d like so stock up! If you have a food processor, you could shred these up and make all sorts of yummy carrot recipes and fill your freezer! Or you could cook them up and puree them for homemade baby food. I’d love to hear other ideas you all might have for using carrots besides eating them raw.

I puree them in the food processor and hide them in ground beef dishes.
We don’t have a super target near by
But is it true that Publix will take competitors coupons? Even these?
Hi! Just noticed on the Target “weekly specials” that the carrots are supposed to be .99 for 1-lb. bag through 10/18, so that would make them free! That would be even better! Thanks for all you do!
2 ideas- I use baby carrots and cucumbers (raw) for my kids to munch on while I’m cooking dinner. It keeps the whining to a minimum and I don’t mind when they don’t finish their dinner b/c they’re full of veggies.
2) I cooked a whole chicken in the crock pot yesterday. Now I have enough stock and chicken to make a delicious, fast chicken noodle soup. With free carrots, I only have to buy celery and onion. I can have a whole pot of soup for a couple of dollars. Thanks!
I used to get carrots thru the WIC, and we had to figure out stuff to do with them….We put sliced carrots in spaghetti sauce, in lentil dishes, in soups. Also “baby carrots” are delicious cooked. Saute them with garlic in butter or olive oil till they sort of brown, then add some honey and water and let them braise, cook off the liquid at the end. Then add some salt. Yum.
My family loves pot roast in the crock pot. I find chopping onions, potatotes, and baby carrots in large batches, then freezing them together in portions to fit my pot so I just have to remove the bad and drop it in the crockpot saves me lots of time and efford. And hey, if the carrots are free, more the better!
You might also want to consider calling your local daycare. If they cook fresh meals on site, they might be able to put some free carrots to use in their menu for the week. I know my church day care would grately enjoy more fresh veggies to add to the menu.
Baby carrots are great if you put a glaze over them. Kids will go crazy for them. It used to be the only way my son would eat carrots. Now he likes them raw, but he didn’t used to.
Boil the baby carrots until tender to your liking. Drain off the water. Put in about 2-3 Tbsp of butter, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, a touch of lemon juice, a pinch of salt and about 1/8 cup of maple syrup. Keep over heat and stir until sugar granules have dissolved. A tip I’ve learned is the longer you “cook them” in the glaze, the more glaze gets soaked in. YUMMY!
If I print five copies of the carrot coupon will Target let me use them all at once or do I need to go in five different times?
Great idea on getting out the food processor – I have several recipes for Carrot Muffins, Cake, etc. I will definitely stock up!
Target was good to me yeasterday.
-I got a free bottle of Frenches Worstishire Sauce w/ coupon from last Sundays paper.
-A free bottle of Cascade Rinse w/ coupon fom the P&G in home mailer.
- A bag of carrots for .29 w/ taget coupon
-A bag of Nestlie Toll house chips for .29
(I combined the $1.00 target coupon which was mailed to me along with the $1.50 internet printable. The trick is to give all the TARGET coupons first, then the manufacturers and you won’t have any beeps!)
-A gallon of Market Pantry Canola oil for 8.39 (great price-since oil has gotton so expensive in the last 8 months w/ all the “Bush-flation”! I have not seen it this price anywhere for a gallon-not even at the Warehouse clubs. I think I am going to get another to stock up.
Wow I think I have been doing better at Target lately then at Wal-mart. I think people have gotten so used to just Frequenting Wa;-mart that they have not realized that target has deels and are just as competive.
My TN Target tells me each time that they will accept any number of coupons, Target and mfr, as long as they don’t beep. I’m very blessed with this Target staff. They are very coupon-friendly.
My Target will no longer accept ANY computer printed coupons. I am so bummed by this. They will only accept ones from the paper or in their stores.
We eat the baby carrots like they are going out of style! I also have 3 little dogs that ADORE them too!
YIPPEE!!!! Mama’s going to Target tonight!
Carrots are a mainstay around here! I buy a couple pounds each week to steam and puree and slip in my kids’ juice.
I freeze the puree in ice cube trays and pop the carrot cubes in the sippy cups without any kid being the wiser….I’ve also been known to throw a cube or two into spaghetti sauce and Spaghetti-O’s for added nutrition.
FTR I also do the same with cauliflower but its not on sale this week, is it?
Try this recipe from Cooking Light for Carrot Souffle–it is AMAZING. It uses 2 lbs. of carrots.

I can empathize with those of you having difficulty using IPs at Target. Mine allows them joyfully, but my Publix is very strict about coupon usage so I rarely go there.
This morning at Target, here’s what I got:
1. Clearance $1.46 Archer Farms pomegranate lemonade, less a Target IP $1.00 made it 46 cents for 32 oz.
2. Sale priced Green Giant carrots for $1.29, less a Target IP $1.00 made them 29 cents. Thank you for the post!
3. TWO Sale priced Ortega taco seasonings for 63 cents each AND TWO 99 cent Target reusable shopping bags, less the mfr coupon for 75 cents off two AND TWO $1.00 off Target IPs when you buy an Ortega product and a Target bag. This all cost a mere 49 cents (half the price of one bag)! I’d been wanting a Target bag, so that was fun.
4. TWO clearance priced Stayfree jumbo pads for $1.46 each, less $2 off 2 packs mrf Q made them 46 cents each!
5. Kraft EasyMacs are still 77 cents, less the $1.00 off 2 IP or insert Q, making them 27 cents each.
I also printed most of my coupons at the Target registry up front on their paper with their ink.
CVS has their Kelloggs cereals on sale this week for $2.00, less an IP found currently for $1.00, making them $1.00 a box.
I remember reading an article or book on making your own baby food and they said not to make carrot baby food unless you knew your carrots were from a growing region that was low in something, maybe nitrates. I cannot recall the source of the article in order to verify it. Does anyone have more info?
Oh, I’m so glad you suggested shredding and freezing the carrots! Such a great idea!
Our Target raised the price of these carrots to $1.69, after the coupon came out. They also raied the price on the Muir Glen canned tomatoes from $1.19 to $1.79, since I used the $1.00 off coupon the first time.
