My Wal-Mart has the large (28 oz) cans of Muir Glen diced tomatoes on sale for 90 cents. Free plus overage if you have the $1 Muir Glen coupons that expire on 9/30.

I just got home from wal-mart, and they no longer take computer generated coupns!!!! that stinks!!

Jodi September 4, 2008 at 1:07 pm

Its a big hyp about computer generated coupons because some people put coupons on the internet that were supposed to be in a mailer. so now all of my local walmarts say that if the coupon doesnt scan then they wont take it. i havent had any problems when they scan.

Zoya September 4, 2008 at 1:12 pm

I rarely shop at Wal*Mart, but may go there to check out these deals. I have a question though: if the item is, say, $.97 and you have a coupon for $1 does the coupon beep and cashier has to manually override it (like at CVS)? I heard that our Wal*Mart’s policy is not to take any coupon that is not accepted by the register…

lucky September 4, 2008 at 1:24 pm

yeah mine also didnt took even the smartsource and bricks coupon they kept saying its a photocopy and we only take manufacturers coupon with print on both sides
how ridiculous walmart you lose me i am better with target

Abby September 4, 2008 at 2:26 pm

Is anyone else having trouble printing the South Beach coupons?

Kate September 4, 2008 at 6:45 pm

I used these coupons/deals at my Wal-Mart with no problem. The cashier did look them over carefully and did’nt seem pleased that my bill came down over $21.00, but I sure was!

Jodi September 4, 2008 at 7:53 pm

I used to work at Walmart and the most frustrating thing about using coupons now is that the company will get what they give you so its not like they are out anything; at least on legitamite coupons. You know? I think that “most” of the walmarts accept them if the computer scans them. But I know my cousin works for Food4Less and they don’t accept IP because they never know if they are fake. Its a tough road and if more shady people get out there its just going to get worse and maybe down to not accepting IP anywhere anymore. Which is horrible for those of us that try to be honest and do good just to help our bills go down.
To KATE: Just know that she is just sad that she can’t get her bill down that much even with a discount! :)

Kelli September 4, 2008 at 8:16 pm

Just wanted to add that here in central Florida Walmart no longer accepts internet coupons due to coupon fraud. Not only was I sad but so was the cashier who had to put back so much of my stuff :-(
However I took my coupons to Publix and they still accept these coupons as long as they are not for free items.

jacci September 4, 2008 at 8:17 pm

One Walmart told me that they couldn’t take computer generated coupons, so I had them take off everything that I had a c-g coupon for–luckily it was a small trip. Today I went to my usual store and had no problems at all. In fact I will probably seek out this cashier as she actually cheered me on when she saw the stack of coupons (most roll their eyes and do not look happy) and congratulated me on my small total. Pretty funny.

On the clearance endcap by the bodywashes, tampons, etc., certain suave bodywashes were $1. I still have those $2 off of 3 suave item coupons, so they came to 33 cents each. Not to bad. I did get the last three, so they may be hard to come by.

Terri September 4, 2008 at 8:34 pm

Iams Cat food (selected varieties) are 25 cents each. There were $1/4 coupons in the 8/31 P&G.

rachel September 4, 2008 at 9:15 pm

I just got back from wal-mart and used all types of coupons with no problems. I saved $30 using coupons!!! THANK YOU, MSM! One tip I could share is to use a good quality printer to print your coupons. I had an older one which worked fine but many of the coupons would not scan and had to be entered manually -or not- according to the whim of the cashier. I now have a new one and I don’t recall one coupon printed with this one that beeped. They zip right through! What a relief!

JoanRenae September 4, 2008 at 9:22 pm

I could not find the Airwick coupon on their site? Can someone direct me please?

Heather September 5, 2008 at 10:27 am

I had problems a while ago with Walmart store not taking internet coupons, not knowing what the policies were or not even knowing what internet coupons were! I emailed and then called Walmart corporate and got calls from the managers of both stores within 2 days. According to them, they educated the cashiers during cashier meetings about the proper handling of coupons and they gave me their numbers to call them directly if I ever had any more problems.

However, this was before the whole Vtyrl Mkt/Facebook coupon debaucal. It could be easier for them to say they won’t take ANY internet coupons than to sift through them to find the no longer reimbursed Vyrl Mkt ones. It’s sad that this one company has made things so bad for the rest of us!

Thought I’d also mention that I couldn’t print the Southbeach coupon either. I keep getting an error message. Also, I have never seen coupons for Huggies Clean Team in my local paper. I wish I did get them because I’d love to use them on the flushable moist wipes. I’ll keep looking.

Amy September 5, 2008 at 11:31 am

The South Beach drink mix coupon is no longer on their website. Sad! I love that stuff!

Gloria September 5, 2008 at 11:57 am

My Wal-Mart in southeast TN had Macaroni Grill Dinner kits on an unadvertised rollback for $1.00, so it was free after the $1.00 coupon from http://www.restaurantfavoritesathome.com. There’s also a coupon for $1.10 on http://www.coupons.com, so you’d get overage on that one! Not sure if the rollback applies to all Wal-Marts.

Jodi September 5, 2008 at 12:17 pm

The huggies clean team coupons came in their mailer and I havent seen them anywhere else. I get their mailer every three months and then when I got the Pullup Potty Training video there were the same coupons in there as well. I just cant find them at my walmart!

jacci September 6, 2008 at 6:43 am

At my walmart, the huggie cleanteam wipes are not by the baby goods. I found mine near the adult bodywash aisle. Also near by was the Kandoo foaming soaps.

kim September 6, 2008 at 8:22 am

My local WalMart refuses to accept any coupon greater than the amount of the purchase price.

Laurie September 6, 2008 at 10:19 am

I did pretty well. My Walmart did take computer generated coupons so I bought the following. However, since I live in the Northeast, the prices were a little higher on some items. I also needed some staples that are generally cheaper at Walmart: (1) bread & sugar good low price; (2) Johnson’s Buddies soap .97 with $1/1 coupon (made .03); (3) 2 tubs Huggies Cleanteam $2.38 each with $3/2 coupon (.80 each); (4) Purina cat food $4.18 with $4/1 coupon (.18); Schick razors $1.97 with $2/1 coupon (made .03). Total $5.64. Not too bad.

Lauren September 6, 2008 at 3:14 pm

I attempted to use 12 dollars worth of coupons at Wal-Mart today, no success! The asst. manager said they are not taking coupons off the internet! UGH!

Jocelyn September 6, 2008 at 9:39 pm

I used the SAVE $1.00 ON TWO when you buy TWO any flavor Box or Pouch Betty Crocker® Potatoes (Except Potato Buds®) from coupons.com on the small potato mixes that are .68 ea which brought them to .18 ea.

a $2.00 Tucks from coupons.com and bought the travel wipes for $2.64 making the box just .64

$1 off any two el paso products and the taco mixes are .74 making them .24 ea

$1 off any pilsbury crescent rolls – they have small ones for 1.22 making them .22 ea
