Tip for finding cheap fruit: Go to the less-nice part of town, or the local Mexican Grocery if you have one (ie Fiesta or Carnivale). Their fruit is the same fruit but ALWAYS much cheaper than the fruit at the nice stores (ie Kroger-family of stores or Randalls-family of stores). Supply and demand economics.

I have always gone to my local hospital for boxes at the shipping and receiving department, they always let me have really nice big boxes for FREE!

We also went to Cold Stone and, although we ended up waiting a long time because I didn’t know it didn’t start until 5 p.m., the girls LOVED the ice cream. I thought it was pretty good too.

I went to Cold Stone yesterday, too! Thanks for reminding me about that, I had almost forgotten until I saw your reminder post on Thursday. Although, even though the ice cream was free, I made a donation to the charity, so it ended up not being free in the end, but I didn’t mind.

I saved 47% of my grocery bill this week!!! $180! Woohoo!

We got some great boxes at PetSmart. Nice size and in good shape. Just call and ask them to save you a stack. We got about 75% of our boxes there – FREE.

I had started doing a menu planning/couponing series, and received so many emails with questions about CVS that I spontaneously did this last weekend. I will need to update it since I didn’t have a “plan” but thought you experts might enjoy something a bit different.
