In case anyone is interested, I’ve did a review of ArtsCow photo books on my blog in August. Here’s the link:

I would not reccomend the pictures from Arts Cow. They are not good quality. I am photograper and I’m always ordering prints. The Arts Cow pictures com from Hong Kong. I ordered from them on got some of their free prints, and my kids looked like they had been airbrushed and fake.
I always get great prints from http://www.winkflash.com
Their 4×6 are only .08 cents each, and right now on the home page they have a code for .06 each. Shipping is cheap, and 8×10′s are only $1.49.
They have great customer service too.

Yes! You really do get 10 free 20 page photo books. They expire pretty quickly though, so you’ll have to work fast. These make GREAT gifts! I haven’t actually made any of their 20 page books, but I’ve ordered 7 of their 30 page books and have 3 more in the making! :)

I’ve never done a photo book with Arts Cow, but I did order photos. The come pretty quickly, but all of mine had a yellow tint. I didn’t think it was that great of quality. I believe they were printed on Kodak or Fuji paper, but they weren’t the greatest quality.

I just had a REALLY bad experience with Snapfish. I ordered a photo collage mug for my husband’s Father’s Day gift, and the photo quality was awful. I’ve ordered mugs from Shutterfly and Wal-Mart before, and they were fantastic. So I don’t think that my expectations were unreasonable. I returned the mug to Snapfish over two months ago and still haven’t seen a credit. Whenever I email them, they say that they’ll pass the issue along to either their “technical” or “engineering” department. I think I’m going to give up on the refund and just order elsewhere… and tell everyone I know not to do business with Snapfish!!!

I had so many problems with Artscow that I never even ordered anything. Just understanding and uploading was so time consuming that I said forget it. I’ll stick with sending mine to Walmart. Their one hour photos are about the best for the money. Pictures are something I wouldn’t recommend you skimp on. Just thought I’d share my opinion.

I just created two books with artscow.com and uploaded about 50 pictures but when I went to checkout, they wanted $53 for shipping!!!! Can you believe that, is it just me or do they really charge that much for shipping? I know their prices are cheap but geez what’s the point of buying photo’s if they cost an arm and a leg to send them to you. I understand they are from Hong Kong but to me the $53 is wayyyy too much even for 10 free photo books.
