Pamida: Double dollar coupons!

Pamida, a store located in seventeen different states, is hosting a Double Coupon Event through September 19, 2008.

Their website says they will double all manufacturer’s coupons up to and including $1 coupons. I’m not sure if they have a limit or if they will take internet printable coupons, but you’ll definitely want to head to this link and see if there’s a store nearby you.

Thanks, Erin!

I just called the store near me. They said that they do not take IP’s at all. :(
Although, the lady on the phone did say that they seem to be doing these doubling events more frequently, so it might be a good idea to keep an eye on the website or store circular.

I got a sack full of items…and walked out of the store with them paying me .16 cents!

However…they are very high where i am at—even with doubled dollar coupons…you do better shopping at target or walmart , cvs or wags for the same item –without the coupons.

I did find…
Raisins $1.29 (use $1 off 2 coupons)
Gold Bond trial size powder .99 cents (use $1 off any)
Kiwi products priced $1.89 and up -shoe laces (use $1 off any)

I bought lots of raisins, a few powders and several shoe laces…and added in something so my total wasn’t that negative…. they did give me overage… but like I said…most everything else was way to high for me–

We don’t have a local store but the closest is about 20 miles away and they also said they don’t take internet coupons. But the woman did say they run the double coupon deal every few months as a way to bring new customers. This is a great deal if their prices aren’t too high and you have some good coupons

I went to their website to check it out. There is also a coupon you can print for an extra 15 percent of your purchase.

Grrrr! Too bad the closest Pamida is an hour away from me! I wish my Kroger would do big double coupon days every now and then :p
Crystal, I remember reading that you’re finally going to have a Kroger – yay! I just hope yours will have a better coupon doubling policy. Ours only doubles those with face values of .50 or less. So whenever I see a .55 Q I get so mad! ;)

I’m so glad to finally see something about Pamida! My husband works for them, so I can add in some extra info for you.

Yes, they are doing these double events more often! They use to do this maybe two or three times a year, but they’ve done it 3 or 4 times since May. They also have a senior day once a month that is 15% off. It’s usually the first Thursday of the month.

Also be on the look out for more Clearance specials, like extra 20% off already clearance items. They’re doing that from Sat. Sept 20 to Tue. Sept 23. Sometimes with the extra % off and coupons you can do fairly good. They also did a clearance BOGO event recently that even included clearance electronics *which can be pretty rare*

They do not take IP’s, that is a big thing that they just will not do! As far as coupon limits I do not believe that there is any. There is a issue that they have recently started updating the POS system and it tends to beep after 10 coupons. It’s just an oddity… No big deal, they can usually just be manually punched in as long as your items match!

They also have a policy of doing Ad Matching like Wal-mart does, it has to be exact item match to the ad. It is suppose to be a company wide policy, but it is worth checking first to see if your store is friendly to it.
I’d also ask at your local store to see what stores they consider in your area as their competition. For us we are about 30 min out from the next big city and they’ll take Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Kmart, and our local grocery store ads here. This was really helpful during Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales as they were no where as busy as Walmart or Kmart and I didn’t have to travel far to *maybe* get a good deal and fight with a humongous crowd.

One last great thing coming up to the Holiday season here, is that they still do Layaway! They only thing that you can not layaway is clearance items. If I remember right it is just a simple 10% down.

Hope this helps some other Pamida shoppers! :)
