Free Kashi Oatmeal Dark Chocolate cookie

by crystal on September 13, 2008

Medium

I guess this is the week of Kashi. Hey, I’ll take it! Go here to get your free Kashi Oatmeal Dark Chocolate cookie. And if you play the game, supposedly you get another free cookie, too. (Thanks, Jaycie!)

Yum! For some reason dark chocolate sounds incredibly good to me today. Don’t ask why. Last week it was Miracle Whip (yep, I said, Miracle Whip. I usually don’t touch that stuff with a ten-foot pole!). And next week it will probably be fried frog legs or something else utterly bizarre.

But in the mean time, I’ll gladly oblige the pregnancy cravings for dark chocolate. After all, isn’t it supposed to be that your body needs the nutrients in whatever it’s craving?! (I’m not really sure that anything in Miracle Whip passes for nutrients. But I ate the stuff anyway because I just needed it. You pregnant women know how that goes!)

My cravings have been corn dogs and grapes! The grapes are at least healthy, but supposedly, pregnant women should limit/avoid hot dogs. But it’s been hard! And now…I’m hungry for the cookie. I hope they mail it quickly! :)

Thanks! These are my favorite! Pretty fun game, too.

Thanks for the link! FYI – you don’t get a second cookie for playing the game! But I am anxiously awaiting my freebie!

Ha, too funny! I craved Arby’s during my entire pregnancy. I would be in the drive through ordering and vomitting at the same time! The funny thing is you could see an Arby’s from my delivery room window. Drew was born at 9:04 p.m. and I wanted some Arby’s!!!! So, I sent my DH out an hour or so later to get some Arby’s and guess what, they said they were out of ROAST BEEF! What else does an Arby’s have?!?! That is their signature item. So, I ended up with McDonald’s instead. Boo hoo!!!

Melissa September 13, 2008 at 5:37 pm

Got the cookie Thx! Megan– I did not think there could have been another person on Earth who craved Arby’s while so very sick. Guess what!!! You and me must be the 2! :)

These are good cookies. And their so wholegrain that I don’t even feel bad about having one (or two).

I bet it was the extra sugar, or calories your body was craving in the Miracle Whip. I craved baked potatoes. When I looked it up about the only vitamin they contained was vitamin C. I must have been low!

I only got one cookie…but the game was fun! Eat all the dark chocolate you want…this in the one time in life it’s OK! Take your vits and your nutrients are covered for this first hard part!
Looking forward to my cookie!

I craved miracle whip with pregnancy #2. I wanted anything with the stuff, tuna salad, chicken salad, deviled eggs, grilled cheese, egg sandwiches. Anything for the excuse to use miracle whip, I think it was the vinegar in it that I wanted so much! I had a boy, so who knows!

Love it! When I was expecting #5, I craved fried plantains (I bought them fresh and fried them at home, Puerto-Rican style- yum!). I would be so sad when Target was out of plantains! The poor produce guy would have to break the sad news to me…

For me, it was spray cheese in a can. I couldn’t get enough of it. Straight from the can or on a triscuit, either way I ate a lot of this for some reason.

Megan and Melissa -

I’ll make 3 a crowd then: I craved Arby’s so bad when I was pregnant, I actually CRIED when DH passed one up after he PROMISED me we could stop and get a Beef N Cheddar. I mean, full out, 2 year old temper tantrum with the big crocodile tears. You can bet he turned right around. He knew what was good for him.

We actually a have a picture of me framed in my son’s baby book of me tearing into a Beef N Cheddar, with extra cheese and sauce. I didn’t realize DH was even in the room, much less taking a picture when I was eating it – I have my 5 sandwiches (yes, five. I was eating for TWO. Hehehe…), Jamocha shake, and curly fries surrounding me, with sauce and cheese smudges on my forehead, nose, and cheeks. DH said he thought it was so cute because I was so desperate for the cheese sauce and the red sauce all through my pregnancy, that he HAD to take the picture. I told him he really took it to embarass me 15 years from now. ;)

Funny thing is, when I’m not pregnant, I really can’t stand fast food. Go figure.

I just wanted to confirm that you get only one sample of the cookie sent per address. You can tell a friend, though, and maybe steal his or her cookie later.
The game is just that–a “steal the cookie” game, but it doesn’t look like they’ll actually send you more than one real cookie even if you do play. I did, and didn’t get another cookie.
It does seem a little misleading on the Kashi website.

Yum! chocolate! Thank you!

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it’s only one free cookie per household but still the game was rather informative!

I was so sick w/ DD#1 I lost weight so I know how you feel! With DD#2 I was never sick. I craved hamburgers & limes. You probably already have discovered this, but I at 1/2 a granola bar about every 2 hours and that helped with the morning, noon, and night sickness. Best of luck

I had to laugh about the cravings thing. ;)

Last pregnancy it was Mexican food – spicy, spicy, spicy! And our daughter hardly had any hair. :P

This time around (I’m a week overdue), it’s been sushi – California rolls, nothing with raw fish. So I’ve been making my own when I get a craving. And peanut butter cookies.

Unfortunately, when I shared my cravings with someone, she “pooh-poohed” the notion of “needing what we are craving” and said that if that were true, we’d all crave broccoli, spinach and carrots. What a spoil sport! :)

no free cookie for playing the game, bummer, it took a while too, oh well, at least one free cookie coming my way! :)
