Walgreens: Free film developing–TODAY ONLY!

by crystal on August 6, 2008

Wednesday, August 6, 2008 only (that’s today!), you can get a free roll of film developed at Walgreens with the in-ad coupon.

I have to ask, though, does anyone still own a camera that require rolls of film? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of those myself!

um…no…but I do have about 5 or 6 rolls from years ago just hanging out in the junk drawer. I wonder what’s on them? Won’t THAT be a fun surprise – especially since I haven’t used film for…7 years?

I’m in the same boat as you, Toni! I still had a roll of film in my old camera. And the (expensive, special) battery was dead…so I ended up shutting myself in the bathroom and rewinding the film by hand in the dark. I wonder what is on mine, too!

I tossed the coupon in the trash because I’ve had a digital for ages. It wasn’t until after the fact that I realized that I have 2 disposable cameras that need to be developed. I had gotten them for my kids when they went to camp, and I keep forgetting about them. I’m spoiled by the ease of digital, apparently!

Old film , in a drawer , in disposable camera’s !!! Walgreen’s does not charge you if they do not develop .

um ok, I guess I am the only one that still uses film ! I do have a digital one also. I just don’t like how they print out. They don’t seem to be as clear and crisp as the film ones. So I do use both. It helps that my hubby gets film thru work for about $1 a roll, can’t beat that !!

I use film and digital. I prefer film though for the most part. I have a few really good film cameras, only one digital.

I do! I do!

I have a Canon Rebel and it is seriously the best camera I have ever ever had! It is an awesome professional camera that takes clear photos.

I will most definitely be taking advantage of today’s promo!

I still use film from years of taking photography courses, etc. With a new baby I’ve been taking a lot of pictures, so this was a nice deal today. What I usually do is just get the pics put on CD then I have Walgreens print the ones I actually want prints of for my albums.

My kids took disposable camera to camp this year so the coupons came in handy. I will pick up my pictures tomorrow.

This deal is great for my bag of very old, and random, film! Last time they did this (or maybe it was a Grand Opening deal of the new store)… from how old my nephew was in the developed pictures, the film was almost 18 years old, and turned out just fine! Other than a few pictures of him, most of it was art-work in a D.C. museum, and I was kind of glad I hadn’t paid for the development.
This time, I actually lost track of my bag of film, but I had a couple separate ones laying around that were actually labeled, a visit to the Sears Tower in 2000… I haven’t picked it up yet, but hopefully they’ll turn out. A very nice freebie in my book! ;-)

My daughters got disposable cameras as presents to take on vacation. It was great to get them developed for free!

I still have a film camera — for now — but it’s getting harder and harder to find film for it. Unfortunately, the roll on there is only half done, so I won’t be able to take advantage of this offer.
