The Jello at my Walgreens were listed at .79 a piece, I’m sure it’s still a deal but I opted not to do the deal at that time. The Cheerios listed on the shelf at 3.79 too! With the $1 off coupon it was still a deal but not the one I went for. Then I left and saw on their scrolling ad outside Cheerios $1.99! I went back in and was informed that the price was $1.99 the shelf was wrong. I went back in and got my .99 cheerios. Bought 3 boxes and used 3 like coupons with no problem. Note to self…while YMMV, apparently your store may not keep price tags current. Now that I know that the Cheerios were wrong I wonder if the Jello was priced wrong as well. Hmm…

Sarah – Usually if you look at the fine print somewhere on the back of the product, it’ll read “Kraft Foods North America” (that’s what Koolaid packages read), or “Product of Kraft Foods”.

This may be a silly question, but if something doesn’t say “Kraft” on it- such as Ragu.. how do you prove that it is a Kraft item?

E.M.C. – The Wheat Thins coupons reads that you get a Free box of Wheat Thins when you purchase any 3 other Kraft products. Jello and Kool-aid are cheap Kraft products – my Walgreens doesn’t carry Kool-aid though.

just a thought – they have the Ragu 3 for 5…..those are Kraft items too. If you are buying the 6 for the 4 RR then you can get 6 jars of Ragu (with the mfg coupons) ……50 each PLUS 2 free Kraft items with the All You magazine coupons! As I was making my grocery list this morning it just hit me! DUH! More ways to save! WOO HOO!!!

So why do you have to buy anything with the wheat thins. If you bought four wheat thins, your total would come exactly to $10. So why do you need anymore with it? Sorry for being dense…

My Walgreens is strict about the limits. I am planning to work the deal and get 2 free boxes of Wheat Thins by buying 6 boxes of Jello and using two of the All You Kraft coupons. I also have some RR to use so this will be a GREAT deal for me.

If you do the wheat thin deal combined with the Preparation H deal you can get the price down on the Jello you have to buy. I bought 4 Preparation H which gave me $4 extra. So I only paid .68 oop for 12 Jello and 4 Wheat Thins and got $3 RR. The only caveat to buying your Wheat Thins here is that they are not the big Family size I have bought with my other free coupons.

My Safeway store has the tearpads with the buy 3 get free wheat thins coupons. If you can find the tearpads you wouldn’t need to buy the All You Magazines. I just wish I had a Walgreens near me. The closest is over 30 miles away.

Do they have Kool-aid at Walgreens? If so, it’s probably cheaper than the Jell-o and it counts as the 3 Kraft items (I’ve known numerous people to try this and it does work with no problems), so you could spend even less, if they have Kool-aid, and you wouldn’t have to worry about the limit on the Jell-o (if your store is truly limiting).

Just a heads up -
I got all excited and went to change my deal strategy for this coming week when I remembered.
My local Walgreen’s informed me last week that their new coupon policy was that you could only use 1 like coupon per order. This means you can only use one buy 3 Kraft get 1 Wheat Thins coupon if your Walgreens is doing this. I know this hasn’t taken hold everywhere but I know it is the case at a great many Walgreen’s now because, as I was told, it was a corporate decision. I did a little internet research and found a lot of others have been surprised by this at their Walgreen’s this week.
It is kind of silly but Walgreens is kind of silly now and then.

It’s a great deal, except that I would have to go and by three All You mags and even though I’m sure I would use the other coupons in it, three more on top of the one I already bought seems a little much to me:) Thanks, though, I LOVE this site!

The Register Rewards did print at my store when I did the deal and I spent less than $1 oop. I added a couple of other small items, got my pre-tax total over $5, and used the above coupons (the Walgreens coupons always scan for however many I buy, regardless of a listed limit), AND a $5 Register Reward earned from last week to pay. Oh, and the Jello was not listed in the eligible items – that’s why I got 4 boxes of Wheat Thins!

Last time I tried to get RR for spending a certain amount, I had to actually spend the money, it wasn’t just $10 worth of stuff. The little RR printer didn’t print as many coupons as I had thought I would get, so I asked the manager and he said the stores have no control over those machines, it just depends on money you spend. Since I had used coupons, I didn’t quite make the $10 or whatever it was.

Just thought I’d throw that out, in case your Walgreens doesn’t print out the RR since you’re not actually spending $10 for the Kraft products.

If Jello boxes are really $0.39 each, then the math is wrong. 12 boxes would cost $4.68.

You could do the deal with only 3 coupons:

Buy 3 boxes of Wheat Thins @ $2.50 each = $7.50
Buy 9 boxes of Jello @ $0.39 each = $3.51
Total = $11.01
Use coupons to get Wheat Thins free (minus $7.50)
Total = $3.51, get back $3 RR
Total OOP = 51 cents plus tax

Money Saving Mom here: Katy, thanks for picking up on the mistake Rose and I made! I’ll correct it. You scenario is incorrect because you have to buy $10 worth of Wheat Thins in order to get the $3 RR. As far as I know, the Jell-O doesn’t count towards the deal.
