Crystal,

I’ve not been here in awhile, and am wondering what the Single Check Rebates are.

Thank you! Enjoy your holiday this week with your family!
Blessings,
Shani

Single Check Rebates is the rebate program offered by Rite Aid. You make your purchases and then at the end of the month submit your rebate either through the rebate form found in the store or you can also submit online. You may only submit one rebate form a month, hence, the “Single Check Rebate.” After you submit your whole month’s worth of purchases, you receive a single check for all of the rebates.

I went to Rite Aide today in an effort to complete my shopping list for the week (I went to 3 different Rite Aide’s this week). Anyway, at one of them, they had a white sheet of coupons below the ads as you walk in the door. There were a bunch of store coupons for various school supplies good until the end of September. I was especially excited to see that one was for $1 off Papermate pens which were on sale for $0.99 this week, but even better was the coupon for $1.50 off a Mead composition book, which are on sale for $0.50, and the coupon took off the entire $1.50!!!! All in all this week, after my rebate comes back, I will have spent less than $2 for about $80 worth of products.

Oh, I almost forgot, on several of my “free after rebate” items, I got additional freebies attached. My Charles Worthington shampoo (rebate only good 8/3-8/5) had a tube of hair repair cream, my Nature’s Way acne treatment came with 6 pens, my Gillette Fusion Power razor included a small can of Fusion shaving cream, and the Old Spice disposable razors had a coupon for a free can of Old Spice shaving cream. Not bad when I am already getting back every penny spent on those items.

I bought Charles Worthington Conditioner that came with a free tube of leave-in conditioner and I purchased Old Spice disposable razors that had a coupon on them for a free can of Old Spice Shave Cream with the purchase of the razors.

Just wanted to let you know that a few of those rite Aid deals were for the first 3 days of the week only. I know the Olay was, and possibly the nail polish.
I love reading your blog and getting good deals!

One more rebate, though not through Rite Aid.

Rite Aid has their Kellogg’s cereals on sale, including Rice Krispies with Strawberries, for $1.99. This coupon (http://www.ricekrispies.com/specialoffers.aspx) is for $1.00 off, bringing the total to $.99. Most of those boxes have a rebate for $3.99 – limit TWO per household – stuck to the front.

So… buy two boxes for $1.98, get a rebate check for $7.98 and make $6.00!

I just wanted to correct the statement that the Olay was only good for 3 days. According to the Rite Aid Single Check Rebate booklet, the only rebate this week that was only good for 3 days was the Charles Worthington hair product. The Olay, the razors, the nail polish, and the others are all from 8/3-8/9.
