Kroger: Free Cottonelle toilet paper!

by crystal on August 27, 2008

Many Kroger stores around the country currently have Cottonelle toilet paper on sale for $0.99. If your store doubles coupons, use the $0.50/1 coupon from Sunday’s insert to get some free toilet paper! (Thanks, ThriftyMama!)

Any other deals at Kroger worth mentioning this week?

Do all Kroger’s limit thier coupon doubling to anything under .50? B/c I haven’t found one that will double anything .50 and above.

Mine just doubles up to 50 cents. I really think it just varies by store.

My Kroger store doubles anything .50 and under. Not sure about tripling… Coupons that are .51 or higher they limit to a $1 “double”. (So a .75 coupon or a .60 coupon would “double” to $1, not $1.50 or $1.20). When I bought the Cottonelle today, my .50 coupon “doubled” to .99, the cost of the toilet paper. No overage, but free toilet paper! Yay!

Also French’s Mustard on sale 1.00 at Kroger. You can find a .50 printable here; http://www.homesolutionsnews.us./offers.shtml
This doubles making it FREE.

I did not see cottonell on sale in this weeks ad–is this your thursday-thursday ad?? Ours runs sunday to sunday–perhaps this will be my upcoming Sunday sale?

On ThriftyMama’s site, in her comments, it was mentioned that it’s an unadvertised sale. I’m going to go by my local Kroger and check it out today.

I post about Kroger deals weekly on my blog. I am located in Central OH, but believe that my ads are similar to those in IN, WV and TN (to name a few).

My store doubles coupons up to $0.99.

There weren’t many coupon match ups this week, but there are still some decent sale items. My most recent post can be found here.

I went today and bought 21 packs of cottonelle for free!!! It’s not an advertised sale, but they are normally 1.00 and they are on sale for .99 and when they double the .50 coupon it’s free :)

I had some pretty decent coupon match-ups this week…over $70 worth of products for $31…and our kroger will only double $.50 and lower..I did find this cottonelle deal today. Also they had Just Bunches on sale for $2 (our wm is $2.50) so that made them free…also they had french’s mustard on sale for $1 and I had a $.30 coupon…doubling it made a jar of mustard $.40/jar.

Cottonelle also has coupons here (http://www.cottonelle.com/coupons.aspx); I haven’t been to Kroger yet so I’m not sure what kind of Cottonelle paper is on sale or if they could be used.

Here’s the deal I worked on my trip into Kroger to buy the 99 cent Cottonelle.

For those (in the Southeast) near a Food City, they have a GREAT deal going on right now. If you buy 3 participating products, you can use a $5 off coupon from their sales circular. (They did a similar deal last month, but featuring different items than this month). Of course, you should use coupons for your three items and this can be a great deal. Some of the products are: Carefree, Stayfree, Children’s Motrin, Children’s Tylenol, Balmex, J & J, etc. There are also no specifications on sizes or varieties. I bought carefree pantiliners $1.29, Children’s Tylenol $3.39, Children’s Motrin $3.99. I used $1 off coupon for Motrin (internet) and $1 off for Tylenol, and the $5 food city coupon. So my total was $3.77 for three products. You could do better if you had a coupon for the carefree. You could make money if you bought 3 carefree pantiliners for 1.29 each, used m/c and then the $5 food city coupon. I just needed the other items. Not part of this deal, but also a very good buy is the Benefiber chewables are BIGIF. They cost $5.78 for 24 ct. There are m/c’s from newspaper insert for $2 off. Use one of these coupons for the each of them that you buy, and they will cost .89 each (normally $6!) Maybe F.C. is trying to compete with CVS and Wags for some of our pharmacy needs! Now if they would only double coupons!

I’m sorry. On my other post Benefiber is 36 count chewables not 24.
