I’ve been getting scads of emails on a daily basis from folks who are giving things away on their blogs and asking if I’d link to their giveaway. While I’m glad that everyone’s being so generous, I just don’t have time or space to highlight all the giveaways going on in cyberspace.
However, I came up with an idea: what if I were to post a Mr. Linky here every week and everyone who was hosting a giveaway could leave their link? This would help streamline things for me and also, hopefully, generate lots of traffic for your giveaways.
What do you think? Is this something you’d like to see here each week? Anyone have a great idea for a name for this giveaway round-up? And what day should I post it on? Early in the week? Late in the week? All thoughts and input welcomed in the comments section.

I think that’s fantastic and could have used it this weekend. Only 4 people came to my giveaway.
How about on Sunday afternoons (like after church) and calling it Sunday Bazaar? It would encompass the generous spirit of a true giveaway and let people relax and do some of their weekend “shopping” at home
Hello all, I do not have a giveaway of my own, but I do have 2 great deals that I thought I would share (MSM, if you want to post this separately, not a prob). Anyways
Starbucks: Purchase anything before 2 pm and your receipt prints out a coupon for a grande iced drink for $2 after 2. This is going through the end of August.
Bath & Body Works: Antibacterial hand soap sale, 5 for $15 or 7 for $20. Ends today (Tuesday, I think)
Mine is more of a contest with a $10 CVS card prize. Hope that’s ok. It’s a Kellogg’s challenge. Thanks, Courtney at Discount Hero.

I think early in the week would be best. I like my giveaways to end on Friday (when possible).
I asked an employee at my Bath & Bath Works store, and she said the 5 for $15 sale goes till Sept. 2nd. Just in case you’d like to know.

Personally, I am not interested in other blog’s giveaways. I don’t have time to go to everyone’s blogs and I don’t know them well enough to trust them.
I think it is a fun addition to Money Saving Mom. If someone is not interested they could just ignore it.
Crystal – great idea! Maybe you could keep it as a weekly side bar item or something so people could go to it quickly. Then, when that week is over, you could delete mr linky so your new weekly post will have all of the new submissions. I like the idea of Sunday too since Sundays are a slow day in the blogosphere and you could always schedule the post so you can rest on His day.
I do love to read about all the giveaways but feel like sometimes they get overlooked because of other posts and such. So, if they’re not highlighted as a giveaway, I don’t always see them.

This is a great idea and I really appreciate the opportunity to share great products with a wider audience. I’ll definitely be back because I have more giveaways coming up in the near future.
I think early in the week is best for posting the Mr. Linky. If you wanted to take Sundays off from blogging, that might be a good day to post it, then readers could add to it throughout the week, no matter when they started or ended their giveaway.
If you chose Sunday, then you could call it Sunday Shares, or Sunday Sharing.

I would be interested in you making it a regularly featured post. I do think it would be helpful for the person to put a brief description of the item up for giveaway with their link (like some of the posters did here already -ie baby coupons, apron, totebag, gift card etc.) I think when you posted would certainly depend upon your availability to do so. Crystal, it seems you post certain things on certain days (you’re very orderly) so when would it fit into your existing schedule? Hey, we get a chance to win free stuff, so we don’t care when!:) I’m totally brainstorming titles here: Giveaways Galore, Winning Ways,
Try-your-luck Tuesdays, Random Rewards, Chance Treasures, Feeling Lucky?, Winning Wednesdays, Enter to win Wednesdays, Spin and Win, Drawing Day, Dream Drawings…(hope I’m not infringing on any rights here). Just out of curiosity would you need to check into that first or is it not a big deal?
