CVS: Did you get your free gift?

I had $10 in extra care bucks that expired on 8/4/08, so I used them this morning on the candy deal. We bought $10.53 in candy, used the $10 and 53 cents in cash, and got $5 in ECBs back – not bad, although not THAT great.

I did get a coupon for a free CVS brand ibuprofen, 10 to 24 count, and will definitely use it.

You know the deals went downhill in June, just when I started to play the game, right? I’m just saying…

I went to CVS today and received a coupon for a CVS Brand Chapblock (guessing it is a lip product) for up to $.99 value.

Free CVS hand sanitizer! I don’t like hand sanitizer, though, so I’m a little disappointed. Loved the thought, maybe they’ll keep it up!

I wonder if everyone’s gift is the same? Mine was a coupon for a free CVS aspirin {as if I don’t have enough pain relief already} for up to $1.99 . Free is free though. I’m sure someone I know can use it :>)

I got a free CVS-brand Acetamenophin, which is awesome since I also got a CRT for $3 off a $10 pain reliever purchase, and Children’s Advil is a free August CVS deal! Yay!

I got a free (up to $1.49) 2 oz CVS Hand Sanitizer. Not as exciting as the e-mail made it sound, but Free is Free and we do keep a small Hand Sanitizer in the diaper bag anyway, so we will get use of it.

I went to CVS today. It was a free chapblock (CVS version of chapstick). Woo-hoo.

I was disappointed. I got a coupon for free aspirin, which I don’t use, anyway, due to an allergy.

I had higher hopes.

I went in today to finish up this week’s deals. Mine printed out a 14pk CVS Ibuprofen! Nice! Also you can get Children or Infant Advil for $5.79 and get back $5.79 in ECB this month. That’s another freebie if you have the EB available! (limit 1) I love being able to stock up the medicine cabinet for FREE!

I will get my item tomorrow. I am curious to see that people are unhappy with their “free” item. Let’s not forget that CVS gives us great deals all the time and this item is free

i got the aspirin too. it’s going in my garage sale!

i stopped using my husband’s card a while ago after my 2nd kiddo was born, as I wanted to simplify. i still use the scanner on his card every time i’m in the store, just to see if any CRTs pop out which will give me free items. for example, i got a $3 lumene cosmetics crt last sunday which allowed me to get a time freeze day creme for free. I did not get that crt on my card though, just his. anyways, i was hoping to get a free item on his card yesterday, but since you have to buy something, i didn’t get it. but i noticed that it says no purchase necessary to get the free gift, and to call an 800 # to get it. so i’m going to try that. has anyone else tried this yet?

I was disappointed. I got the cvs brand chapstick (chapblock). I have enough good lip products that I won’t use it. I would have much preferred the mouthwash, toothbrush, hand sanitizer, etc.

I got coupon for free cvs brand aspirin, also. For those who don’t use the product they received, I would encourage you to get it anyway and others have posted some great ideas on this blog for giving to others. Your local food pantry, homeless shelter, women and children’s shelter, and various other charities would be very blessed for you to drop off your unwanted items.

I got the cvs brand ibuprofen. I also bought the children’s advil for 5.79 get 5.79 back–my reciept does not say -offer limit reached–it says I can still get another one—so the limit must be 2 not 1 this month!

I’m kind of disappointed in my Free Aspirin coupon. I don’t even use aspirin. I’ll use the coupon, of course, but I expected something a little better with all the hype.

NOTHING! I got nothing! I didn’t look until I was out of the store and I had 2yo with me so I didn’t go back. Can you believe nothing! Bet your free aspirin is lookin’ pretty good now, huh? I’ll email customer service and probably get a good coupon out of it though.

What are the CRT’s that some of you are talking about? I am new to the CVS thing.

I got the hand sanitizer. Unfortunately it was my last ever trip there on the way out of the state moving to CO (land of the no CVS *pout*) I didn’t even realize there WAS a gift until after I left the store. What a bummer! That totally would have been the perfect way to leave the store that has given me so much in only 4 months!
