In our area (OKC) school starts this week, so our Staples is not running this ad. However, they do have some of the "free" items for the ad in the store priced at $0.01 with higher limits. I got 10 rulers and 10 pkgs of pencils at that price (which was great!). They did not have the other items out. The store manager said that in our region we would not have a printed ad for this week (so no price matching), and it is not accessible online with any zip codes for this area.

Yipppee..thanks for always posting these school offers! I've saved so much these past few weeks with the deals!!

I was wondering, if we had the BIC $1/1 coupon, would that be a money maker at Office Depot? Maybe they would just consider it free?? THANKS!

For teachers - my mom made an amazing discovery today. She was at Staples with my dad, getting all of the free items, and she gave them her Teacher's Reward card. The checker told her that there is a different limit on the free items if you are a teacher (with the card) - instead of 2 per person, it's 25 per person! Really! So she just got 25 free rulers (enough for an entire classroom!) and 25 free packs of pencils to donate to her school. (most schools have a stash of supplies to give kids who can't afford them) Not sure if every store would honor this (though it was in the register computer so I would think so), but this is a great deal! Even if you keep 5 for yourself, that's still 20 of each to donate!!

In reply to Wendy:

If you live near a Walmart they price match(at least in Michigan). But only the direct pricing such as $1.99 or something similiar. They will not do free, BOGO or % off deals.
If the product you want is at Walmart too, such as the $.01 Elmers Glue deal going on, Walmart will price match it. That's how I do it because it's just not worth driving to a Walgreens, Rite-Aid or some other stores with flyers sent out.
Oh-make sure you have the official store ad with you that you are price matching.

For many of us on the East Coast, school still starts in September - when it's supposed to. :-)

I have found that any time Office Depot has a good deal (things for $.01, $.05, $.20, etc.) that they are sold out within hours on Sunday. If you go Sunday afternoon, they are already sold out. They tell you to come back on Tuesday but then they did not get any on their delivery on Monday. They then tell you to come back on Friday only to find out that they still don't have any in stock. With gas prices these days, I find that it's not worth the time or money to keep going there to try to save a few buck on something they don't even have in stock. Anybody else have this similar expreience with Office Depot?
