Some fun freebies!

by crystal on July 15, 2008

We’ve been receiving all sorts of fun and free goodies recently in our mailbox! Here’s what came in last week:

101_0269
(Excuse the poor picture quality–I snapped it late one night!)

Kotex gift pack–still available here
Ziploc gift pack–I guess I was one of the winners of the Clean Home Journal giveaway!
Pull-Ups sample and CleanTeam sample–was this from Wal-Mart? I’m not sure.
Good Housekeeping magazine–free subscription I earned from somewhere!
$5/1 Luvs coupon
And a handful of books from PaperBackSwap

It’s always exciting to see what mail the will bring each day. And what I find so interesting is that I only sign up for a small amount of the freebies–those that I’m interested in and will use–and yet I get a steady stream of fun stuff each week. I love freebies!

More freebies for today:
Free CFL bulb (It appears they are still sending these even though Earth Day has come and gone–thanks, Becky!)
Free sample of Playtex Sport
Free Zamouri spice sample when you sign up for the newsletter
Possible free credit monitoring for 6-9 months as a result of a class action lawsuit against TransUnion (Thanks, Learning the Ropes!)
Free sample of Gas-X thin strips and coupon

Subscribe for free email updates and be entered to win $100!

I was watching an old Antiques Roadshow on TV last night and there was a woman who had all the samples from the 1930′s I think or maybe 40′s still intact……….that stuff was worth alot of money :) I wonder if I should save all my samples to see what THEY will be worth in 75 years or so :)

Both my mom & I realized recently that we are getting some coupons, including high-value coupons, in the mail when we never asked for them! I guess some companies are sharing names with other companies? Normally I would be mad, but as long as they send me good coupons I don’t mind.

I think the GH magazine was from that site where you had to watch ad videos to earn a free subscription. I got the information from you, and watched enough to get GH. Since you just got yours, I hope it means my subscription is starting soon!

A couple of years ago I discovered that on the Burger King receipt you could call and do a quick survey and they would give you a code to turn your receipt into a voucher for a free Whopper (or Original Chicken Sandwich which I would NOT recommend). While I think this now requires you to purchase fries and a drink its still a free sandwich… Papa Murphy’s Pizza does a similar thing-gives you free side item or $3 off family size pizza for calling in to their survey. These are on the instructions on how to bake the pizza. It’s very good pizza and not too expensive to start with.
Taco bell also enters you into a drawing for $1000 for calling in for their survey on the back of the receipt. So, it can pay to look at the fine print on your receipts.
