Food Lion: Glad Simply Steam and Baby Deals – From Gloria:
My Food Lion in southeast TN has Glad Simply Cooking
microwave steaming bags (10 count) on the clearance rack for $1.60 (50% off the
reg. price). There is a $1.00 coupon here making them $.60! I love using these to steam veggies in the microwave. No
pans to wash, it’s done in a couple minutes, and tastes great! If you buy the Food Lion baby wipes refill pack for $1.50 and use a $1.50 coupon off
any Food Lion diapers or wipes here, these are free! Also, you can buy a 2-pack of Gerber baby food on
sale for $1.00 (normally $1.09) and use the $1.00 off any Gerber food coupon here,
making it FREE! I live close to Food Lion and
can stop in several times a week, so I’m stocking up on these two free
items every time I go in!

I love V8 Splash! Do you happen to know where I can find the printable coupon you posted about?
There are 50 cent off Q’s out right now for Bundinos also. Use Q with sale & rebate! A great deal.
Thanks so much for posting the commissary sales…its the only place I shopped since moving here in NC with only a food lion and piggly wiggly….really expensive!
speaking of food lion…
i was just there last night. they also have a gerber accessory coupon that allows you to get free teethers, pacis, fingernail trimmers, or new plugs for sippy cups. this makes an even better deal if you use manufacture coupons.
another deal i found was on the salsa. they have a B1G1 free coupon on the same site. if you buy 2 (they are on sale this week for only 99 cents) then you will get one free up to $1.89. even though the salsa is on sale they automatically take 1.89 off the salsa. that leaves them both only 4 1/2 cents each!!! GREAT DEAL if you ask me. i will be stocking up.
I have a questions. I’ve been couponing for about 2 years now. I just recently started shopping at Walmart and using coupons to get items free, such as the one listed above with the head and shoulders coupon. I had 4 coupons for them and the gelette 2 in 1 body wash. I know I wasn’t doing anything wrong, but it is very discouraging when the cashier treats you like a criminal and then calls the CSM over and he treats you the same way. They where both very rude about it.
I was told:
1. I was only allowed to use one coupon per transaction per type of item
2. I was using them for the wrong items and that I could only use them for the items pictured on the coupon
3. On the head and shoulders they could only give me the price of one of them back rather than adjusting it down to 1.94 for 2 of them.
4. That “specified items” meant what was pictured, not what the wording on the coupon said.
5. They aren’t allowed to give overage (I am fine with this if the cashier wants to ring it up that way).
I guess my question is, how do you handle this as a Christian? I love the deals, but when the store treats me like I’m are trying to rob them, it makes me not want to go back. Is this one of the times that I should call corporate and talk to them or should I just leave it alone.
Lisa, I have been struggling with this at my local PUBLIX store for the past few months. The bottom line is that I am a Christian, I enjoy walking with Christ, I am doing nothing wrong (unless I make an honest mistake), and the store managers have the freedom to do business (or not) regarding coupons. I have come to the conclusion for myself that I will walk in love, be peaceable, and if a store has a hostile attitude toward coupons, then I will choose not to subject myself to disrespectful treatment and shop other places. I have plenty of options and am so grateful for that. I also compliment the stores who are coupon-friendly especially at the corporate level. God is so good to release me from my guilt and shame regarding couponing! Don’t we LOVE Him?!
The BOGO BUNdinos deal is active this week at Bloom, so another good opp to use that Try Me Free coupon.
