by crystal on July 2, 2008

Duane Reade: Power Pad Lamp Deal – From Josephine:

Off! PowerPad lamps are on sale for $5.99 at Duane Reade. Use this B1G1 coupon and a $2/1 coupon from the recent coupon inserts to get two lamps for $3.99 total! (Note from Crystal: We received one of these from Off! to try out and were quite impressed. They really do seem to work and are much better than lots of other insect repellents we’ve tried!)

KMart: General Mills Deal – From Momof2Boys:

KMart has selet General Mills cereals, fruit
snacks, and breakfast bars on sale for $1.49 when you purchase 4. There
are coupons out there for $1/2 boxes of General Mills cereal. You
pay $3.96 for 4 boxes of cereal. Comes out to be $0.99 a box! Then a
catalina will print – $2 off 5 boxes. The $4 is automatically deducted
at checkout…no coupon required. Limit one $4 savings per transaction. (Note from Crystal: There are more coupons here, here, and here.

Dollar General: Kotex Pads for $0.01! – From Samantha:

I went to Dollar General tonight and got 4 packages of the 16-count pads for $0.01 each!! I was so excited!!  I used 2 coupons from the Smart Source insert from 06/22 for a $1 off any Kotex pads. And they are $1 for the 16 count packages at Dollar General, and since they take coupons, it was a great deal!

Giant: Coupon Doublers – From Natalie:

Giant in Pennsylvania had 4 coupon doublers in our paper yesterday to double coupons up to $1. (Stores in our area only double coupons of up to $0.50. If they are $0.75, you get $1 off, not $1.50. These doublers will double a $1 off to $2). Wegman’s accepts these coupons. I bought $23 worth of groceries for $11 with the doublers and other coupons at Wegman’s.

Winn-Dixie: Free Pert Plus – From Karen:

Winn Dixie has Pert Plus on sale for $1.99. Use the $3/1 coupon or $2/1 coupons from recent inserts to get them free!

Meijer: Tilapia Fillet Deal – From Saralyn:

I can’t believe that no one has mentioned this yet, but there is a wonderful deal on Tilapia Fillets at Meijer this week. The 16 oz. packages are on sale B1G1 for $5.99 and they have a mealbox.meijer.com coupon for $2.00 off per bag, making them less than $1 per bag.  We’ll be eating fish this week!

Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats Blueberry Muffin Free After Rebate – From Kyle:

A couple weeks ago I saw Kellogg’s new Frosted Mini Wheat flavors in the cereal aisle. The blueberry muffin flavor has a big yellow banner at the top that says free (and you KNOW that caught my eye). There’s a mail-in-rebate inside the box. I don’t know too many details, as we just opened ours this morning. My son liked it though. And his milk turned blue, which he liked even more!

Tops: Deals for This Week – From Kara:

Dole Mandarin Oranges (regular price = $1.93 each) are on sale 10/$10.  Use the $1/3 coupons from a recent Sunday paper. For every 3 cans you buy, a register coupon prints for $0.75 on your next shopping trip. Final price $.66 each before the register coupon, $.42 each if you factor the coupon into the final price.

OB Tampons (regular price = $4.37) are on sale for $2.79. Use the $1.50/1 coupons from Sunday’s paper. Final price $1.29-1.79 each.

Chex Mix (regular price = $2.53) on sale 4/$5. Use $1/1 printable coupons, $1/2 coupons from recent Sunday insert, or coupons here. Final price $.25 -.75 each, depending on which coupons you have.

Starkist Tuna (regular price $1.27) on sale 10/$10. Use $1/2 coupons from Sunday’s insert.  Final price $.50 each.

Oscar Mayer hot dogs (regular price $3.29) on sale B1G1. Use $1/2 coupons from recent Sunday insert. Final price $1.14 each.

Also, most of the Planters nuts are on sale 2/$6.  If you’re buying Kraft, Oscar Mayer, or Nabisco products in other deals, use the buy 3 products, get $3 off Planters to get a free Planters product.

Publix: Free Revlon Beauty Tools – From Margery:

Publix has a health and beauty flier in the front of the store containing a store coupon for $2 off any "Revlon Beauty Tool or Revlon Cosmetic" through July 25th. My Publix (Atlanta area) has emery boards for $1.89 and small nail clippers for $1.99. Stock up on some free nail care items for yourself or for others!! Revlon cosmetics will likely go on sale during the promotional period as well, possibly netting some free nail polish to go with those other nail care items.

Meijer: More Deals – From Lacey:

ChiChi’s salsa is on sale for $.99. There were $.55 off coupons in this week’s inserts, as well as a month or so ago. These make it $.45 a jar!

Dole Classic Iceburg salads are on sale for $1 again (10/$10, eleventh free), so you can get them free with the coupon you’ve referenced many times.

Meijer brand family size chips are on sale for $2.50/bag, and the mealbox.meijer.com site has $1 off coupons.

Meijer brand graham crackers are on sale for $1.99, and the mealbox site has a $1 off coupon.

Yo+ Yogurt (4-pk) is on sale for $2, and there are $1 off coupons here – making them $.25 per yogurt.

ACME: Free Lawry’s Marinades – From Tiffany:

ACME has Lawry’s marinades for $1 this week, and at my store at the end of the aisle there was a display where some of the bottles had $1 off coupons making them totally free!

Stop N’ Save: $10 off $50 on Thursdays – From Jen:

For those that have Shop n’ Save grocery stores in their area, Thursdays are $10.00 off your purchases totaling $50.00 or more.  It is taken off the total before coupons are taken off so that helps quite a bit.  This past Thursday, my purchases totaled 56.92 before coupons. Then they took off the ten dollars.  Then they took off my 17.95 in coupons.

Also, for those that shop at Dierburgs- they match Shop n’ Save’s Thursday Deal.

Is that last one STop n Save or SHop n Save? Thanks!

Rachel R. July 2, 2008 at 11:59 am

Do you know if the coupons at Dollar General (that are on the shelves in dispensers similar to blinkies) are good at other stores? They say “good at Dollar General,” but they don’t say “good ONLY at Dollar General,” and they clearly say “Manufacturer’s Coupon.”

leah July 2, 2008 at 12:12 pm

Do you have a list of what grocery stores double coupons?

Tiffany July 2, 2008 at 12:13 pm

For those of you who have a Fry’s near you, they have lawry’s marinades and cattlemen’s BBQ sauce for $1. I had (6) 50 cent off coupons for cattlemen’s and (5) 50 cent off coupons for lawry’s and Fry’s always doubles coupons and right now they are tripling coupons. So I got them all for free. Also mccormick packet marinades are $1.29 and I used (3) 25 cent off coupons and they tripled them to a dollar and I only paid 29 cents for each one.

My Meijer isn’t advertsing the Tilapia BOGO. Is it an unadvertised deal? thanks

I bought four fruit snacks at Kmart in one purchase and received a $2.50 good for next purchase at Kmart! Made those boxes very cheap!

Can I print directly from the Rich Catalog or do I have to find them in the store? TIA

Elizabeth-The Whole Family July 2, 2008 at 7:58 pm

I didn’t know that you could use coupons at Dollar General! huh…

Shannan July 2, 2008 at 10:36 pm

Meijer has Grands Biscuts on sale 10/$10 but they have a coupon sticker stuck on the end for .30. When doubled at the register…you are only paying .40 for a can of biscuits. YUM!!

nikar July 2, 2008 at 11:14 pm

Has anybody been able to print the dole coupon? I can get only 1/2 of the coupon to print out so fraustrating!

Alicia July 3, 2008 at 1:47 am

For anyone who has Nob Hill Foods in your area they have a 10 for $10 sale on 64oz. Minute Maid lemonade. There’s a coupon in this past Sunday’s insert where you can save $1 if you buy two boxes.

So with the sale. two boxes is $2 and with your coupon knocking off a dollar, you get two boxes of lemonade for $1. I had two coupons so I was able to get four boxes of lemonade for $2 :)

I don’t know if this sale is going on at their sister store, Raley’s, but I thought I’d give some of you the heads up who have Nob Hill in their area.

I went to Meijer yesterday and the Tilapia are not on sale B1G1 this week. I looked in the ad first and they were not advertised, so I looked when I was in the store. It would have been a good deal if it was though.

Becky R. July 3, 2008 at 8:19 am

I found an unexpected bonus when using the Planter’s $3 coupon when purchasing 3 Kraft items. My local Shop N Save has them on sale for $3 AND combining it with getting a $5 Catalina off your next store purchase with a $15 Kraft purchase was great, but, wait… a $6.50 Catalina off next store purchase also printed out for purchasing the Planters!! This offer is good thru 7/13 and if you buy 3/get $4, buy 4/get $5, buy 5 or more/get $6.50.

Becky R. July 3, 2008 at 8:22 am

On the Planter’s $3 coupon, I bought 3 .10 packets of Kool-Aid for the three Kraft items, so it cost .30 for all four items. Also, I used the free Kraft cheese coupon from Parade magazine a few weeks back, and also purchased 3 Kool-Aid packets @ .10 each to meet the 3 Kraft item requirement.

Issac'sWife July 3, 2008 at 2:06 pm

Meijer: with the purchase one box of Meijer Graham crackers, get one free bag of Meijer Marshmallows. Paired with the $1.00 off coupon this makes it $1 for both items.

Vicky July 3, 2008 at 2:25 pm

The Kotex pads at the Dollar General’s here in Kentucky are $3 not $1.

Robin July 3, 2008 at 4:50 pm

Bad deal at the Dollar General, there was a manufacturer coupon for 1.00 off Kotex pads, however the 16 pack that costs a dollar is for the liners, not pads. (The pads start at 3.00) The liner coupon is only .50cents that came out in the 6/22 paper.

**************
Money Saving Mom here: Robin, not all stores carry the pads at $1. Apparently yours doesn’t. :(

However, you might try Wal-Mart. Some places have a smaller pack of pads that are $1.

flutemom July 3, 2008 at 6:03 pm

i was able to get the cereal at kmart. i had a kmart coupon for $2 off 5 cereals, so i went ahead and purchased 5 boxes of cheerios. with my $2 kmart coupon, a $1/3 coupon, and two $1/1 coupon, i was able to get 5 boxes for a total of $3.45. (the ad was to purchase 4 boxes and get them for $1.49, instead of the advertised $2.49; well, the first four boxes i got were $1.49, but then the 5th rang up at $2.49…. i was hoping to get them all at $1.49, but it was still a really good deal!). then at the register, another $2/5 coupon printed. hoping they have another good deal soon.

Robin July 3, 2008 at 10:40 pm

Okay well I will try Walmart.
Thanks for the tip.
