RecycleBank (in select areas) is a fantastic way to "go green", and be rewarded for your recycling efforts. Here is how it works:
Step 1:: Place all your recyclable materials into one cart for curbside pick up.
Step 2:: Carts have an identification tag that is recorded by the recycling truck.
Step 3:: The amount recycled is converted into RecycleBank Points, which you can use to order rewards.
What kind of rewards? CVS $/$$ coupons, to name one! (my favorite)

Crystal – I was just checking into this last night because I was shocked to see Nebraska included. I’ve filled out the form to have them contact me so I’ll let you know what I find out – especially what the cost is!

I was about to email about this. We just signed up for this service and I LOVE it!! I love having a 96-gallon bin for recycling (my main reason for switching services), it is cheaper than my old service and the coupons, of course, is a huge plus!! I don’t know if it is the same in all areas, but our bin even gets pushed back up to the garage once they empty it. LOVE the customer service!!
(I’m just south of Omaha, and the service has just been available here for about 2 months)

Our town just started the RecycleBank program about 3 weeks ago…and after just one pick-up I earned enough points to get two rewards for $5/40 purchase at ShopRite!!! I just received them today…cannot wait to redeem them next week….LOL
This is a great service! I’m in CT and it looks like the only participating town right now is Groton…far away from me unfortunately. I did sign up to be notified when/if they expand to my area, though.

We have RecycleBank and LOVE it. We have earned a lot of CVS coupons along with others. They really do make recycling easy and rewarding!
Thanks for the link. We are in one of the states the program is in, but I don’t know if it’s in our exact area, so I signed up for notification. We already recycle, so an added bonus for doing so would be nice.
