Kroger is def. regional. I have never gotten one red cent off and trust me, I ask everytime! Our Whole Foods does $.05 per brag you bring and use.

The Price Choppers in Kansas City offer five cents for each canvas bag. I haven’t seen it advertised, but was pleasantly surprised when I went on Sunday with my bags in hand.

I asked a local IGA store about this and was told that they prefer you re-use THEIR bags, not other store bags!

Albertsons (in SoCal at least) gives 5c per bag up to a limit of 25c off per transaction.

Fred Meyer in the NW gives 5 cents per bag – and it’s any cloth bag, not just theirs. I’ve found that you have to remind the clerk though, or just use self checkout.

When mentioning promotions at Price Chopper, could you specify whether it’s the chain in the northeastern US or the one in the Kansas City area? It seems that most of the sales you post are for the NE stores, but I think this promotion is for the KC stores.

Safeway in Northern California region also gives 3 cents for every reusable bag for your groceries.

Must vary regionally — my Kroger only gives 3cents per bag. But I don’t really care — I just love that they are easier to haul around, better for the environment and cuter too!

Whole Foods and Giant in my area both give 5 cents per reusable bag, any type of bag. More than once I’ve gotten 5 cents off for not taking a bag at all for a small purchase at Whole Foods.

Dillons (a Kroger store) gives $0.05 a bag. And it does not have to be the ones they sell.

As a matter of fact, the ones they sell are much much larger then the plastic bags from the store, and since you are getting paid per bag, it’s actually more economical to use the plastic from your previous trip instead of buying the ones they sell and having to remember it 20 times to make your money back.

In WI, Pick -n- Save Grocery Stores give 5 cents back for every bag you bring in.

I shop at Stop & Shop, and they give back $.05 for each reusable bag. It’s posted in the store, and at the registers, including the self-checkout.
