Kroger: 10-Item Mega Event–lots of great deals!

Kroger is having a 10-Item Mega Event at many stores around the country right now. They have a number of items on sale for $3, $2.50, $2, and $1.50. For each combination of 10 participating items you buy, you’ll get an instant $5 off your purchase (with a limit of 3 discounts per transaction).

Melissa posted the sale flier for her area here. And Marcy shares a large list of deals with coupon match-ups here.

You’ll definitely want to especially take a look at the items which are $1.50. If your Kroger doubles coupons and you have $0.50/1 coupons on any of these items, you’ll get them free if you buy 10 and get the additional $5 discount. Free items include: Betty Crocker Cookie mixes, Cattleman’s BBQ sauce, Frank’s Red Hot sauce, and Daisy sour cream.

Click here to see the list of all the deals to be had and be sure to check your store’s flier to see if they are participating in this great deal!

Can you put the link up again for Marcy’s list of Kroger deals with coupon match-ups? When I clicked on your link, it took me to the same page as Melissa’s sale flier.
Thanks

Make sure people pay attention to their receipt. I went last night and the customer service person told me you have to buy from the same category, which is so not true. She ended up giving me my $5.00, just be careful.

I just posted deals for Schnucks (St Louis area grocery store) on my blog. Feel free to jump over if you’re in the St Louis area!

Be sure to check your store because there are MANY more items that qualify for the Mega Event than the ad listed. My ad did NOT list Huggies wipes, but the store had a little flier below them that indicated they qualified! Make sure to walk up and down the isles because I think there were too many items to list in the flier:)

I went over and over my receipt and I don’t see where I have made a mistake. I bought 10 items from the $1.00 section, 10 from the $1.50 section and 10 from the $2.00 section yet I only got 2 $5.00 discounts. I even highlighted my 30 purchases to verify that I have 30, I circled in my add the 10 items from each group (the pic) I am tempted to go to the store and show this, but have not at this point. But my point is–watch your reciept…this could be a computer glitch.

And, careful with the cookie mix coupons and the Cattlemen’s coupon. They say DO NOT DOUBLE on top… I’m going to go now and I’ll let you know if they work as doubled or not.

I went to my Kroger last night, coupons in hand, of course. I had absolutely NO trouble at all. I used the self-checkout and my $15 was automatically deducted at the end before I scanned my coupons. Everything up to $0.50 doubled as it should have. I spent $85.24 (tax included) and saved $91.41 (tax not included). So I got almost $176 worth of groceries for $85!!! Will post details on my blog – http://carrots12tn.wordpress.com.

Thanks for the great links and tips! Those coupon links came in handy!!!
