Did you know that if your children get good grades or perform chores around the house, they can earn free passes to CoCo Key Water Parks around the country?
I didn’t, but I’m very interested to hear this since we have one of these water parks right here in Kansas City and I’ve always thought it would be fun to take the girls during on off season (I’m not much into over-crowded pools and water slides!) when they get a little older.
There are currently water parks located in the following cities:
- Waterbury, CT
- Chicago, IL
- Rockford, IL
- Boston, MA
- Fitchburg, MA
- Kansas City, MO
- Omaha, NE
- Mount Laurel, NJ
- Cincinnati, OH
- Columbus,OH
Go here to read more details and sign up for the CoCo Kid’s Club. And then get your children busy helping around the house–what great incentive!
Thanks for the heads up on this, Carrie!

Coco Key is SO fun! My son won us a night stay at the hotel with passes to the park. It was a blast! Plenty of different pools and variety, so it is fun for all!! Even my then 3-yr-old enjoyed the little slides and the shallow pool!! This is a great incentive!!
The water park in Waterbury Ct. is NOT open yet. I called today, they said in late fall, they will be opening! Just thought I’d pass it along.
Has anyone done this? Does it cost money for parents, too? seems like it probably does….
AND – don’t miss out on the arcade pass for reading 10 books a MONTH! We read 10 books a day! Yes, it does cost money for the parents. I believe it is $25 per person, but I could be wrong. You should probably check the website for the one you plan to visit to double check.
Crystal,
I looked at the Kansas City CoCo Key website and it has no mention of this deal: http://cocokeywaterresort.com/Locations/kansascity/play/fun-stuff/rewards-kids.aspx
I just thought you might want to know. I guess I should call them to find out…
I see where you listed Kansas City, Mo but I couldn’t find any information on the website about it. The website is for Cincinnati, Oh. Do you happen to know if there is a site for the one in MO?
The “general” website is
http://cocokeywaterresort.com/
Click on your specific destination in
the drop down menu. We’ve never been, but I’ll be printing out both charts for my kids!
My family and i went to the Columbus, Ohio resort last spring. We took our 2 and 4 year old. The 4 year old had a blast but the 2 year old was scared of the big bucket that dumped water on you every ten minutes or so. The nice part was we were the only ones there both days, people came for an hour or two but there was never more than 12 people there the entire two weekdays we spent there! We can’t wait to go back now that our little one is a little older!
When I originally posted this deal on my site ( you can follow Crystal’s link under my name ), I typed diretions for you all to find the forms for each city.
I checked most of the cities, and it appears to be for all the locations…but if you don’t see it, just email me and I can find out for you.
Carrie
Oooppss…I forgot one other comment.
For parents to get in, at least at my location, it is $20 on weekdays and $25 on weekends.
So, I plan to take my 3 kids during the weekdays, since they are still young and not in school/or half day for kindergarten, and only pay $20 for 4 of us. $5 a piece.
I usually meet girlfriends for playdates in the summer at our waterparks and pools, so I plan to do it in the winter, too.
Can you tell my family loves the water a little too much!!
Crystal’s link leads to Cincinnati. I looked up Columbus (which is actually in Newark, 1 hr. east of Cols) and under the CoCo Key Kids Rewards it just says “coming soon”. I called and they had no idea what I was talking about.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw Mt. Laurel, NJ…like “no there’s NOT!” But it says coming soon in November. Awesome!
I just went to download these charts and it seems the deal has changed. I followed your link (thinking maybe I couldn’t get access to the deal except thru your site) and now it says it’s a free $10 arcade pass whether you read or do the chore chart. No more free admission. Guess I missed out on that one! Wah!
