CVS: New $3/$15 coupon!

by crystal on July 12, 2008

I knew there must be good news when my email inbox was stuffed full on a Friday night…

And, oh happy day, there’s a new $3/$15 CVS coupon out!

Thanks to everyone who emailed me about this!

This coupon is only good through July 20 and is from The Valley Breeze newspaper. It should work nationwide and scan without a problem.

With all the great deals coming up this next week, this coupon will really come in handy! I’ll be back later on Saturday with deals and deal scenarios.

Note: If you can’t get the above link to open, go here. Click on "search this week’s ads" and search for CVS and there it’ll be!

Subscribe for free email updates and be entered to win $100!

Where do you blog from? It’s still Friday here. :)

Jocelyn July 12, 2008 at 1:07 am

Hi, I’m having a real problem opening the link to the coupon, is there any other way of opening or getting the coupon? thanks

Susan July 12, 2008 at 7:17 am

Thanks for the post. I appreciate the time you put into your blog to bring us great links and coupons. May God bless you and your family for serving him and others.

Thank you so much! I refrained from a CVS trip this week since I didn’t have any $/$$ coupons at all. There is so much we need next week – this will come in handy!!!

Lisa D. July 12, 2008 at 8:14 am

Is this printing out fuzzy for anyone else?

Joy C. July 12, 2008 at 8:19 am

I’ve just recently discovered MoneySavingMom.com and LOVE it!!!!!

Question about the just-posted $3/$15 CVS coupon. I was excited to get that, printed it off, then read the fine print … “…will not accept offers printed from unauthorized internet postings or reproductions…” I’m assuming that means the one I just printed???? I certainly don’t want to attempt it at the register if it’s not valid. Any thoughts??

*******************
Money Saving Mom here: Joy, so long as you are getting this coupon straight from the source (this paper online), it is not an “unauthorized posting”. What CVS does not allow is people turning these coupons into PDFs and posting the link to the PDF they’ve created. This is what CVS is referring to as they have had problems in the past with this happening and their legal team has cracked down on this. I have thoroughly read their legal stance on this and do my very best to follow it to the letter so that we all are using coupons ethically.

Hope that helps!

Jen July 12, 2008 at 8:22 am

I used it this morning in CT!

Rachel July 12, 2008 at 9:00 am

Thanks for the coupon update. I used it this morning in Houston with no problems…scanned fine.

Catherine July 12, 2008 at 9:01 am

I don’t see your first link, and when I go to the second link, there is a label for “search this week’s ads” but no search box. When I searched in the article section, I got articles, but no ads.

What am I doing wrong?

Katherine July 12, 2008 at 9:08 am

Woo Hoo!!! Thanks!

Gina July 12, 2008 at 9:10 am

When I print that PDF, it comes out fuzzy. Do you think they’ll take it?

Kristi July 12, 2008 at 9:58 am

I have been using the scanners in the local CVS stores the last couple of weeks to scan my ExtraBucks card and have received THREE $3/$15 coupons this way! I don’t know if it is a fluke, but I definitely recommend it to everyone.

How do you know there will be great deals this week? Do you get your sale info ahead of time though some super-secret method? I never find out until the Sunday paper arrives.

Thanks

dunlap July 12, 2008 at 10:53 am

Love your site!! can you print this coupon more than once? And use it for several different transactions?

Teresa July 12, 2008 at 12:03 pm

Oooh…I’m so excited. It has been so long since I have had a $/$$ coupon! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Julie July 12, 2008 at 12:15 pm

Thank you for everything you are doing and sharing it with us, Crystal! You have inspired and taught me how to “live like no one else”. In the last few weeks of reading your blogs, these are just a few of the changes in our family:
- We read “Total Money Makeover” and are following our first-ever budget
- I am no longer thinking of working outside the home, but cherishing and maximizing my time at home with our babies
- We have a new daily schedule, similar to yours, that works much better for all of us and gives me time to be in the Word and make our home a “haven”
- My husband is so happy with the new sense of creativity, fun, and contentment in our family!

You are my virtual “discipler”. Thank you!

Julie

I think it’s great that you don’t want to run out and buy a new van if you don’t have the money alloted for it. Praise God that you are financially responsible and willing to wait for things in a world that will go into huge debt to have things now. You are right that there will always be those that are critical but there are plenty of us who believe as you do that we are to be responsible with the money God has given us and not just fulfill every current desire of the flesh. You are an encouragement to many stay at home mom’s.

Carrie July 12, 2008 at 1:23 pm

Wouldn’t you know it, I finally broke down and stopped at CVS this morning with no $/$$ coupons. Never leave the house without checking with Money Saving Mom!

Michelle July 12, 2008 at 2:18 pm

Today at cvs i used a $2 ECB and it rang up for $2.98! I wonder whats up with that. Has anyone else had this great and wonderful thing happen to them?

Angela O July 12, 2008 at 2:48 pm

Paul, check out different coupon sites like hotcouponworld.com or afullcup.com and you will find under the CVS forums postings for the future ads.

Crystal July 12, 2008 at 3:03 pm

I just wanted to thank you and say that I really appreciate everything you do. I know when I read a deal on this site you have only ethical coupon uses/deals. This is my favorite blog, it is the first one I check every time I sit down to my computer.

Amy July 12, 2008 at 3:19 pm

Thank you so much.

Tasha Via July 12, 2008 at 3:27 pm

Thank You!!!

Heidi July 12, 2008 at 3:30 pm

Paul, Many people get the sales flyers in the middle of the week. Mine always come on wednesday or thursday in the mail.

Also, there are lots of deals forums out there on the internet where people somehow get the flyers weeks or sometimes months ahead of time and then post pdf files of it. There also are sites for coupon previews where you can find out what coupons will be in the Sunday circulars ahead of time.

Margaret July 12, 2008 at 3:48 pm

Thanks for all your hard work Crystal!

Mine came out fuzzy too but I just got back from CVS and it scanned fine!

Samantha July 12, 2008 at 4:41 pm

Kristi, I’m not sure how everyone else finds out about the deals early, but my local city paper comes out the Wed. and the CVS ad for the next week is in it.

Jennifer Caldwell July 12, 2008 at 4:55 pm

Crystal, just wanted to let you know that I linked to you on my blog. You’ve been a great inspiration since I found you about three weeks ago. I also went over to your Biblical Womanhood site and loved it, too. Especially your courtship story. Such a departure from the way the world thinks. Keep up the good work. Jennifer

Paul,

I recently found these links which you might find useful.

A schedule of what coupon books will be available throughout the year can be found here…

A list of what coupons will be in your paper a week before it comes out can be found here…

Hope that’s useful for you.

Katherine July 12, 2008 at 5:37 pm

Does anyone know if you can/can’t use the $3/$15 in the same transaction with a $2 CVS skincare coupons? On the 3/15 it says coupon cannot be used with any other CVS coupon. Thanks!

Sue July 12, 2008 at 6:51 pm

I get my CVS flyers on Thursday with my mail. I get the chance to look it over and compare coupons. I also get my sunday coupons on Saturday which helps when getting my sale strategy together.

tammy July 12, 2008 at 7:19 pm

Ahh! Crystal, thanks so much for the link! :)

Jolene S. July 15, 2008 at 8:59 am

I have the same question as Paul posted omn July 12th. It looks like on FishMama’s site that she presents some ideas for 3 or 4 hypothetical CVS trips where she uses the $3/$15 coupon several times. Are we allowed to print it out more than once and use it in several different transactions? Thanks so much for all of the tips and insight. It has been a lifesaver as I’ve just gotten started!

Money Saving Mom here: It depends upon your stores. Some stores allow it, some don’t. You can ask and see what their policy is.

I’m having trouble finding this coupon. When I go to the link, it looks like the website is down.

parulben July 15, 2008 at 11:36 am

here is a new cvs coupon.enjoy

julie July 15, 2008 at 12:01 pm

Looks like the link to the Valley newspaper CVS coupon is no longer valid. I come up with a different page, and with an abundant amount of searching cannot find the CVS coupon any more!

Stephanie July 17, 2008 at 5:57 pm

Just saw this and I can’t get it to work either.

Missy July 18, 2008 at 1:13 pm

I just printed the coupon from the link and it works fine.

mom23 July 18, 2008 at 10:43 pm

I’m new to this whole site and the world of couponing. (I love it, Crystal!! Your teaching has been such a blessing to my family already!!) This may seem like a dumb question, but we are able to print the CVS coupons you have posted, right? Like someone earlier I want to make sure I’m doing everything correctly. I didn’t realize that CVS had a beauty handbook in addition to their weekly flyers and extra care booklet(sorry definitley a “newbie”). Thanks for any help you or anyone else can give.
