CVS: Free Coppertone Sunblock (possible small money-maker!)

by crystal on July 1, 2008

As we expected, some of the smaller Coppertone products are working for the Buy 2, Get $10 deal. I’ve not heard that the lip sticks are working like last time, but here’s a great deal:

Coppertone Waterbabies Sunblock Sticks (reported to be $4.79-$4.99 each) are working for the deal.
Buy 2 at $4.79-$4.99 each
Spend less than $10 out of pocket plus tax
Get $10 ECBs back!
Free plus possible small overage

Also, there is a refund for Right Guard here if you buy it (for $0.99 with the deal this week) and don’t like it. Thanks, Frugal Freebies and Deals

I noticed on that Right Guard Refund you are expected to mail back the unused portion of the deoderant along with the receipt. Just wanted to make sure anyone thinking of doing this noticed that detail.

The Coppertone “Sport Stick” ($5.99 each here in CA) are working as well. These were not a money maker, but at only 99 cents each, I thought it was worth the opportunity to roll some ECBs.

Hey there! I was wondering how to print the CVS beauty coupons smaller? They are so big when I print them out.

Catherine July 1, 2008 at 12:36 pm

I can’t double check because it is trash day and my ad is already gone, but I believe the ad in my area (central IN) said the coppertone deal was limited to three items: the face specific lotion, the pink baby lotion, and one other. Would that be different in different areas, or do you mean that the deal works on more items than were listed in the paper ad?

Money Saving Mom here:

The deal is working on items not listed. It has been working for multiple people in multiple areas. I’ve not heard a report of it *not* working but if someone has tried and it hasn’t worked, let us know.

Also, could the $2 beauty coupon be used with this? Or the $3/15 face CRT?

****************
Money Saving Mom here: Since these aren’t CVS brand products, the $2/1 coupon can’t be used. However, the $3/$15 skin CRT can. I was thinking of doing the Physician’s Formula mascara and the two Coppertone products and using the $3/$15 CRT to make it a nice money-maker.

The 5pk of Cvs tampons is only printing out $1 EB for each. I called and they are aware of the problem and it will be fixed shortly. If you only recieved 1EB for each call and they will credit your card the remaining.

Jessica,
You asked about how to print the CVS coupon smaller. This is what I did. I right clicked on the print button and then clicked on print preview and then I was able to shrink to fit the page and print out that way and it worked. Good luck!!

i thought the coppertone baby sticks would work and make a great deal. but it didn’t work for me, in illinois. i was bummed.

PurpleHeather July 2, 2008 at 10:59 am

Good to know, Jamie! Also in Illinois, and I’ve been hunting around my local stores to try to find some. Now I won’t be so bummed that they’re nowhere to be found in the stores.

If you didn’t use ECBs for the transactions, you can try to return the items. However, it is harder when you didn’t pay cash out of pocket (they give you a hard time…).
