Sears: $75 Shell Gift Card with $100 Dockers Purchase

by crystal on June 12, 2008

I’ve checked this out pretty thoroughly and believe this to be a legitimate and excellent offer (well, provided the men in your family need Docker apparel, that is!).

Purchase $100.00 or more (pretax amount after application of any discounts) in qualifying men’s Dockers® apparel or accessories at participating Sears department stores and Sears.com and receive by mail a $75.00 Shell® gift card. Multiple, same-day sales receipts indicating a qualifying Dockers® purchase may be combined to achieve the $100.00 minimum purchase requirement.

Qualifying purchases must be completed between 12:00:00 AM (ET) 6/7/08 and 11:59:59 PM (ET) 6/15/08.The offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Sears promotional offer.

Limit one (1) request per person, two (2) per household, separate qualifying purchases on separate receipts required. The Shell Gift Card can be used only for purchases of goods and services at Shell locations in the U.S.

More details and the form you’ll need to fill out and send in is here.

It’s a good thing we waited to buy my husband some much-needed clothes; guess what he’s getting for Father’s Day?! I’m just hoping that Sears also has some fairly good prices on items, too, as I’ve never shopped there for men’s clothing before.  Does anyone know whether it is better to shop in-store or online?

Thanks, Michele!

I also heard you get a $10 Sears gift card as well. Heard it at: http://bargainshopperlady.com/2008/06/08/spend-100-on-dockers-at-sears-get-75-in-free-gas/

I bought two dress shirts for my FIL, socks, 1 pair of khaki and a pair of jeans. I squeaked just abive the $100 pre-tax at $100.46! ($107.49 with tax)

We did this deal a couple of days ago. Dh got 2 pairs of pants, 2 dress shirts and a pack of socks. The total was $108 I believe. Needed the socks to get over $100. I have already mailed my form in!

I also took advantage of this deal earlier in the week. A lot of things were on sale in our local Sears. Hubby got three pair of pants and two packs of socks for just over $100. The forms to fill out were right by the register.

This would be a good time to stock up for Christmas!

I’ve found that you usually have a much better selection in the store IF you have a good sized store. The one at my local mall is a large store, comparable to other mall/department stores, and it has a great men’s selecton! However, I browsed around online and the selection and size variations was lacking! Plus, a couple of things that I did like were ‘Out of Stock’.

Haven’t tried this to see if it will work, but apparently, if you type in SDEALS177 at Sears.com you can get $5 of a purchase of $50! And, if I read this correctly, you can choose in-store pick-up instead of having it shipped to your house. So, if you don’t have time to make it up to the mall by Sunday (which I don’t), you could do that option and save more $$$. Again, I haven’t tried them, but it would be worth a try!

If you go to Kmart and buy 2-$50 gift cards, you receive 4 Free Hulk Movie tickets! Then take those two gift cards ($100) and buy your Dockers clothes at Sears with it! Makes this a very slick deal! Plus, when I bought the 2 gift cards at Kmart, the catalina also printed off a free $10 on your next shopping trip coupon! Very slick deal indeed!

Just remember that according to the terms it’s not supposed to be paired with any other deals or promos. A person on the SlickDeals forum called the 206 company and they said clearanced items were okay to buy but using coupons could cause you not to get a GC!

I did this earlier in the week. :) I got DH two pairs of pants and a belt. Not much and everything WAS on sale!

Thanks for this post Crystal! My husband is in desperate need for some new slacks. We are going tomorrow while grandma is in town. New clothes and a date. Yippee!

I just heard a commercial for Sears and some Dockers apparel is on sale for 40% off this weekend. I’m definitely going to do this deal.

Hi Crystal
We ran to the mall yesterday to do this deal they did not have a huge selection but what they had was all on sale. We ended up with 2 pair of slacks 2 pair of shorts and one shirt. It went a little over 100 but was well worth it. With 2 weddings and 2 reheasal dinners this month dh can really use these. Thanks for passing the info on.

We just did this deal today – in fact we did two of the deals, since you are allowed two per household! My hubby has been so patient in waiting for new clothes and I am thankful that the Lord provided this way for new clothes at a minimal price!

I had a horrible time trying to buy anything online. I have to say Sears’ promotion backfired, b/c I do believe I hate sears now, after all the hassle for nothing!
