FYI – I LOOOOVE the Silver Jewelry Club…although…be warned – it can be addicting! With those 4 little options updating every 15 minutes…it kind of sucks you into watching consistently if you’re not careful! But, as posted above, it’s totally legit, and well worth the ~$5 bucks for shipping. Another tip – if you purchase a pendant, they will also give you the added option of purchasing a sterling box chain @ check out which brings your total to less than $10…a great low-cost gift! And…the best part…great packing. Mine came ready to gift.

The solar panel company does not offer this in our state.
My husband and I are building a home.
We are looking into purchasing a geo-thermal central heat and air unit. Any thoughts or opinions or advice would be appreciated!
We are hoping to lower heat and cooling costs.

The Silver Jewelry Club does have pretty nice jewelry. I don’t think it’s worth the $40-$60 they claim is the retail value, but it is pretty and sparkly, and for the 5 or 6 bucks in shipping, it is a pretty good deal if you see something you like. The two pendants I ordered were also a lot smaller in real life than in the pics on the website. And (obviously) don’t be pressured into buying something because there are only 15 minutes to purchase it – they recycle the same designs over several days and you’ll be able to find something similar.

Chick fil a restuarants are all locally owned and operated, so I would imagine that this deal is only on a store by store basis. Sounds great though!

I’ve ordered jewelry from Silver Jewelry Club before – their earrings are deceptively photographed on the website. They are SMALL earrings – much smaller than I expected. However, their rings are FABULOUS (I especially love their men’s surgical steel rings).

Chick-Fil-A: Free Food When You Buy Gas! – From Beth in Columbus, Ohio:

The Chick-Fil-A near us is running a great deal because of the high gas prices. Between now and June 30th, if you take in a gas station receipt between $30-$50, you get a FREE sandwich (they will stamp it so it can’t be used twice). Even better, if you take in a gas receipt for more than $50, you will get an entire FREE MEAL (fries, sandwich, drink). I’m not sure whether this is a nationwide deal or only something for our area, but it’s worth checking into.

Note from Crystal: What a brilliant marketing idea! I’d love to see more stores doing things like this.

So this is going to probably be unpopular but I wanted to comment on the taking coupons out of magazines at Drs offices. As the wife of someone in the medical field I think that is something people should reconsider. We pay for most of those magazine subsriptions. We do get some free but most of the time we have to subsribe just like everyone else. I find it quite annoying when pages have been ripped out of the magazine that have been put in waiting rooms. Sometimes you can nicely take a coupon out without distroying the magazine pages but most of the time tearing things out does damage to the pages or the binding. I know to some this may seem pretty petty. But those magazines belong to the office. They are bought so that you have something to read while you sit and wait. We hope they last for many patients to enjoy. So I would suggest if you really feel the need to tear something out of a magazine at a Drs office at least ask the office person if it is ok. Sorry to ramble about that. I know most people will think this is crazy to complain about but we have had a lot of people destroy and actually walk away with quite a few of our magazines. We spend quite a bit of money each year on subscription and it really annoys me what people do to them.

Lynn, just to clarify since I believe you misunderstood (something that’s easy to do with all the info I post here everyday!): rest assured that she was not encouraging people to rip manufacturer’s coupons out of a magazine not belonging to them. Instead, these were coupons in a tear-off cardboard insert at the front of the magazine which were meant for doctor’s office visitors to tear off and take. If they liked the magazine, All You was encouraging them to tear one off so they could go buy their own copy. Make sense?
