CVS: Possible change in limits?

by crystal on June 3, 2008

I continue to hear reports that people are able to get a limit of 4 Oral-B and a limit of 4 Listerine (both June monthly deals). It seems that perhaps the limits have changed in the last 24 hours, though there is no official word on that.

I’m also hearing reports that the Tide deal from last week is still producing $2 ECBs and that the Aquafresh, Colgate 360, and Addidas deals might also still be working.

If you bought any of these deals and want to report back on your experience, please do so!

I used a rain check on the Colgate 360 toothbrushes. They gave them to me for free AND the extra care bucks printed out!

2 Nichole June 3, 2008 at 5:34 pm

I had wondered if the 360 was still good as my recipet still looks like it is producing ebs…. hm. :-)

My receipt from Sunday had the Colgate 360 deal. It said deals done-2, one left to complete. Haven’t tried it though. Mitzi

I maxed out on the Colgate 350, Adidas, and Aquafresh deals last month, BUT they’re still printing out on my receipt (along with the new June monthly deal subtotals). Sounds like they may still be considered active by the system!

My aquafresh, colgate and adidas are still showing up under weekly deals. I also got a limit of 3 on the bandaids.

I just got back from CVS and it says I have another available of the listerine and the oral-b. I haven’t tried it yet.

7 Kim June 3, 2008 at 7:51 pm

Definitely 4 on the Oral-B and Listerine and 3 on the CVS band-aids in TN.

Okay. I went back and checked my receipts. Yesterday evening I went and bought 2 listerine and 2 oral b. It showed “Offer Limit Reached”. I went back to CVS today to buy some other stuff and the receipt showed the 1 available for listerine and 1 available for oral b. Looks like there have been some changes.

I bought 2 Listerine Smart Rinses yesterday, and my receipt said limit reached. Today I got some other things at CVS, and my receipt no longer says limit reached.

I noticed that my receipt was still listing those deals today. I am going back tonight (‘cuz they were all out of Paper Towels) and I will try the Colgate.

my tally list on my cvs receipt from today says that I have one colgate 360 deal left to redeem (thought that one was dead) as well as one aquafresh to redeem, PLUS i got a save $2 coupon on aquafresh, so that makes the deal even sweeter! I bought 2 listerine and it says i have one more left, 3 of the bandages and it says limit reached, and oral b I bought two and it says I have one more left. so, yes, it does seem that the limits are askewed.
hope this helps!

I have 3 of the mouth wash now! And my receipt said I had 1 more to reach my limit!!! So…I guess the limits are 4! I dunno past that!

13 Anna June 3, 2008 at 9:39 pm

On Sunday my receipts show limit reached for the Oral-B after I bought 2. Today my receipt does not say limit reached for the Oral-B. Also, I bought 2 Listerines and 2 Brut products and it does not say limit reached yet for either.

Same thing happened to me. Even the Dawn dish liquid, I already bought 7 yet it still says I have 2 more left.

15 Marion June 3, 2008 at 10:12 pm

My receipt on Monday night still listed the Tide deal

16 Emily June 4, 2008 at 5:53 am

Sunday which was June 1, I tried the Addidas deodorant deal and it still worked.

Do your receipts actually tell you how many you have left? I interpret the second number as how many you must purchase to trigger the ECB. Just saw on mine that if you buy 50 prints you get 20 free… I’ve been using the 10 free prints coupon (expires Friday) and I now have 10 towards the 50!

I got 4 of the Listerine and my receipt says offer limit reached (as of Tues evening) so I guess the limit is 4. In my area, Dayton, OH, we did not HAVe the Tide deal last week but we DO have it this week…so maybe they just left it open for everybody!?

19 LisaC June 4, 2008 at 7:42 am

My receipt shows a higher limit than the ad on the Listerine and the bandaids and the oral B, also the Dawn. Every time I buy these my receipt is raising the limit on some items and is printing ECB’s for these as well. Some items it does show limit reached.

Colgate 360 deal and Addidas deal still working this week in Greenville, SC!

21 Julie June 4, 2008 at 8:03 am

My receipt from yesterday still lists the Warm Delights, Adidas, Colgate 360, and Alavert!

22 Jan June 4, 2008 at 1:17 pm

In Ohio Tide is $5.99 plus get $2 ECB back limit 2 in this weeks ad- which is apparently different that other areas of the country. I also bought 2 Listerine and 2 CVS bandages and my receipt doesn’t say offer limit reached yet.

23 Jan June 4, 2008 at 1:20 pm

p.s. my receipt says Aquafresh “offer limit reached” at 3. I am in Ohio.

24 Kristin June 4, 2008 at 2:34 pm

My husband and I had both maxed out the Oral-B and Listerine. After making some purchases today (New York State), both of our receipts showed that our limits had not been reached. My husband purchased one more of each and after checking the receipts again, his still stated that his limit had not been reached.

25 xAshx June 4, 2008 at 5:15 pm

I actually work at cvs… for myself and my customers the limit looks like 3 on all of them. Ive bought two of all and today it shows one more of all.

26 Leah June 4, 2008 at 6:07 pm

I have a quick question. I thought the totals at the bottom showed “how many you had purchased” and “how many you needed purchased to earn ECBs”. Am I mistaken? TIA

27 Shelley June 4, 2008 at 7:50 pm

I thought the limit on the Oral B was one, but my receipt didn’t say I’d reached the limit. It did say that I’d reached the limit on the Listerine Smart Rinse, but that was on Sunday…judging by what everyone is saying, I think I could go get another one. I still have more coupons! :)

28 Christi D. June 4, 2008 at 10:12 pm

I just returned from CVS and did get ECB’s back on 4 Smart Rinse’s. They were sold out of Oral B :( so not sure about that one.

I am really new to this…infact, I just found this site on Sunday and have been intriged ever since!! I took my first trip, to try this CVS thing and see how it really works so here goes:

Pampers-Jumbo Pack/$7.99 (2) $15.98
Pampers Wipes/$2.99 (2) $ 5.98
Dawn Dishwashing liquid 2/$2 $ 2.00

total $21.98

used: CVS $3/15
P&G: $2.00
Dawn: $.25 Total after savings: $16.73

I got $6.00 in ECB!!

Did I do good? I think I am a little thrilled but if I know I did good I will be really EXCITED!!

Thanks for this site!

In Hershey PA, the aidias is working. I am new to cvs’ing and decided to try it. I also got 3 listerine, and it says I have 1 left, and 3 oral-b and it says I have 1 left.

31 Heather June 5, 2008 at 9:03 pm

Great job Shannan! CVS-ing is fun isn’t it?

32 Arlecchina June 10, 2008 at 7:57 pm

Emily, I got excited about the photo deal too, but I think you actually have to buy the photos. You get 50 photos for the price of 30–thus, “20 free.” So they aren’t in addition to the fifty you’ve already gotten :-( .

33 Estera June 17, 2008 at 9:14 pm

I’ve had the same thing happen with Listerine and CVS band-aid. Bandages it said offer limit reached after i purchased the third one. Listerine it still says i need to buy one more for now.
