I have to admit, I was feeling a sense of sadness that the trusty Washington Post $3/$15 coupon was expiring this week. $/$$ coupons have been a little scarce recently and I really am fond of them.
My sadness has turned to gladness, though, as I was elated to find a brand-new $3/$15 coupon fresh off the presses from yesterday’s Beacon Journal newspaper! And unlike the recent NewsDay coupon, this coupon can be used by anyone (not just paid newspaper subscribers) since the free two-week trial subscription to the newspaper is available to everyone. Yay!
Here’s how to get your coupon:
::Go here to sign up for your free two-week trial to The Beacon Journal (it’s a simple process and requires only your name, email, mailing address, etc.–no payment info needs to be given).
::Confirm your subscription by clicking on the link in your email.
::Download the June 1, 2008 edition. You’ll need to click on the arrow and it will take a little while to download.
::Go to page A9.
::Select and highlight the $3/$15 coupon to print. And there you have your very own $3/$15 coupon to use at CVS!It’s good through June 14, 2008.
This coupon can be used legally by anyone who signs up for their own free subscription to this newspaper and downloads their own coupon. There are no restrictions on it besides the usual restriction that it can only be used once per transaction, however, each individual store can choose to limit the usage of it to one per customer.
Subscribe for free email updates and be entered to win $100!

There was a 3/$15 coupon in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on Sunday as well. I don’t think it can necessarily be accessed electronically, but maybe the coupons were in a number of papers this weekend.
Thank you!!
There was a large ad in the first section of the Akron Beacon Journal and the Cleveland Plain Dealer this Sunday for Cholesterol screening at CVS- at the bottom is a $3 off $15 CVS coupon. Maybe it is in other papers as well.
I tried to download the June 1 edition of The Beacon Journal, it only gives you the first page of the paper, so you can’t access page A9. I have sent in a customer service request to have it fixed. Anyone else having that problem?
Kelly: You have to click on the arrow to download the full version. There are two places to click on the calendar–one only downloads the first page of the paper, one downloads the full paper.
Clicking on the red arrow will download the full version. Hope that helps!
Kelly, if you scroll to the bottom of page one there is a little right arrow in the bottom center of the page. If you click that you will be taken to page two. Alternately, you can go to the address bar and replace the A1 at the end of the URL for page A1 with a A9 for page A9 and press enter.

Money Saving Mom here: Thanks, Courtney! I didn’t even think of doing that!
I keep getting an “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” error. I have tried numerous times.
I can’t seem to select just the coupon to print. Is there something I’m missing??
I found another website with a direct link that worked. You still need to have the free trial to access it.

Thanks for the coupon link!
Thanks, it worked just fine. It took about an hour to download…now off to CVS I go!
You can also click on “search edition” at the bottom of the page and type “cvs” and it will pull up a A9 link for the page.
It took me about 1.5 hrs to download it.
Before I try this… does this coupon only work in your area CVS’s? Or will it work anywhere?
I’m heading off to CVS in a while. Has anyone been given any trouble over the coupon being printed out?
My CVS would only let me use the printed coupon once EVER – they took it. Is this the norm? Should I be printing out multiple copies?
I just discovered that the monthly Dove deal can be a moneymaker. Here’s how:
The 99-cent travel size deodorants are included, according to the tags at my store. Buy 10 of those, use ten 75-cent off coupons (they work on the travel size), and you not only have 10 deodorants for $2.50, but you get $3 back in ECBs!
Thank you so much Crystal! You are awesome!
Can anyone tell me when this coupon expires?
Can you stack the $/$$ coupons? ie. if I already have a $10/50 coupon, can i buy $50 worth of stuff and use BOTH the $3/15 and $10/50 coupons? Thank you for your help!
Not sure about stacking the CVS coupons, but the expiration date on the coupon is 6/14. Not alot of time to use this one, but I am thankful because I had run out of the other ones. I learned my lesson!!
Sue: If your total equals $65 or more, some stores would allow you to use both. It just depends upon the store. Hope that helps!
Hey, Sue. Your CVS might be different, but I think the correct policy now is you can use them together, but you would have to buy $75 worth of stuff, not just $50. Someone correct me if I’m wrong?
I’m sorry, I meant to say $65, not $75. oops :0)
Okay, just ignore my last question. DUH!
OK, I downloaded the page(won’t run out fo coupons this time, I learned my lesson!). But — as someone else asked — how do you print this puppy? Do you just have to print the whole page? thanks…
Thanks for the clarification!
On the CVS coupons it specifically says “One CVS coupon per transaction”- so I don’t know if you can stack a $/$$ off CVS brand plus a regular $/$$ CVS coupon.

Money Saving Mom here: Jan, most stores allow you to use both a $/$$ coupon and a $/$$ CVS-brand coupon. They will go through without a hitch, but the store can choose to limit your use of the coupons as they see fit since they are CVS coupons, not manufacturer’s coupons.
I got it, printed it (could only print the whole page as well) and used it!! Although I thought you could use it over and over…guess you print it over and over….b/c they kept mine! My store mananager did have to ‘key it in’ though, because it was too small to scan!
Thanks so much!
I zoomed in on the coupon, then printed it out and it made the coupon larger and just printed out the zoomed-in part. I used the zoom buttons at the top.
My CVS would not accept this coupon. They claimed it appeared to be photocopied, eventhough I just printed it like everyone else. This is in Kentucky. Good luck!
I see no page a9 only a8.
Is there a limit to the number of times you can/should print out and use the $3/15 coupon? Just wondering…
The Columbus Dispatch also has a $3/$15 on page A9. I hope this helps.
Well I have been waiting all day for a confirmation email.
I was just wondering about the wording on the coupon, “limit one coupon per customer.” It doesn’t say “one coupon per transaction,” and it makes me wonder if the intention really is that each customer only use the coupon once. I wondered about this with the Washington Post coupon as well. Is it just generally assumed that “one per customer” really means “one per transaction?” I want to be able to use this coupon multiple times with a good conscience, so I hope someone can clear this up for me.
Also, I downloaded and printed this coupon by selecting it from the huge blue page (didn’t want to waste all that blue ink) and pasting it onto a word document, 3 per page. But at the store, it wouldn’t scan. The cashier, who was of the rather unhelpful sort, didn’t offer to key it in and I didn’t know that was possible. Next time if it doesn’t scan, should I just ask them to try keying it in?
Also, why wouldn’t it scan? Do you think I just need to zoom in a bit like the previous poster? Or, if I was low on a certain color of ink do you think that would affect it being able to scan? Also mine looked a bit blurry. Is that the reason?
Thank you, Crytal.
I just printed mine before I read about I can skip clicking on the little arrow page by page. It did took a while for each page to load. But I was doing something else as well so it wasn’t bad.
I will try it tonight to see if it will scan since I print it larger than normal. The regular paper won’t fit the whole page so I have to print in the zoom mode.
Hi everyone,
I also tried to download the June 1st issue and it would not let me. “Internet explorer cannont….” It would let me download any other page just not June 1st.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
sj
I want to thank you for your wonderful blog. Because of you, I have started figuring out the whole CVS thing. I was able to get 2 Chex mixes, 2 Pampers diapers, 2 Pampers wipes, 2 cans of tuna, and a box of cereal at CVS for only $2.64 because of all the coupons you mentioned and the Extra Care bucks I had saved.
Thanks!!!
Finally! I had to download another free file compressor software because winzip had expired.
Quite a lot to go through (tried to get this several times) but the payoff is worth it to me! Thank you!!!
How do you highlight the coupon to print it? I had to print the screen and and paste it in Paint to select just the coupon to print. The last time I did this the CVS cashier did not accept it, saying that it was a photocopied coupon. I’m worried this will happen again. Is there a feature that allows you to select only the coupon to print (like the last $3/15 coupon in the other online newspaper that also had a free trial period)? Thanks for the help!
I was able to print it but I haven’t used it yet. Zoom in on the coupon then click on the camera icon on the tool bar. This will let you highlight a section and will paste it to your clip board. Paste that on to a Word document and you’re good to go.
I couldn’t print either without a really small coupon as a result!! It was not selecting or highlighting just the coupon for me. So, I realized the printer was auto-scaling. After i clicked print, it was on the box that pops up. I deselected “shrink to fit”–THEN went back and rotated the page 2x so the coupon was upside down and at the top left corner!! TADA! Full sized coupon (and if the guy won’t take it I will manually push HIM thru the machine after all this work!!!)
When I tried to print out the coupon the barcode isn’t printed out. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix that?
I signed up for the paper today because I have been out of town. It only goes back 7 days so unfortunately I cannot download June 1 newspaper. Is there another way I can access that coupon?
Allison, I had the same problem. I clicked on the link that Laurie posted above and it still worked. After signing in, it took me straight to the page I needed too, without having to download the whole day’s paper.
Hey I have a problem it will only let me download the last 7 days I can’t go to the first, anyone had this problem?
Oh no, I’m having the same problem as Allison. Is there any way to access this coupon now? Like she said, it will only go back 7 days. Am I too late??
I think we’re too late…I also waited too long to get the coupon.
I went to the June 3rd day, then in the address, changed the date to june 1, and the page number to A9. It immediatly worked and I didn’t have to download anything. Hope this helps.
Your awesome Bethany. That worked for me too. I was pretty bummed that I waited too long to print my coupon!! Thanks for sharing.
I am new to this CVS thing and I am finding this blog SO helpful. Thanks to you all.
Hey girls!! I’m so excited, we aren’t too late… I followed some advise above but for the DATE-
Click on any day (NOT the arrow, but the number) and when the page comes up, change the date to 06-01-08 and the page to A9, and it takes you right to it! Yeay!
THANK YOU ALICIA! THIS HELPS FOR THE PROBLEM OF NOT ACCESSING THE FIRST OF JUNE’S PAPER!
Yes, like Alicia said, go to the URL and change the date and page number. No problem to access June 1. And also, if you use the “snapshot” tool in Adobe Reader, you can select the coupon and paste it into Microsoft Word without having to print the entire page or have it be too small. I zoomed in first and then did the snapshot.
Thats brilliant Alicia, can’t believe i didn’t come up with that…
