I stocked up on Duracell batteries. The coppertop 16 packs of AA or AAA are on sale for $8.99, and count for the $3 May rebate (limit 4). There are also a coupon $.75 coupons out there for Duracell, bring the per battery price on these to $.33 ~ not bad if you go through a lot like we do!
Just FYI. The Edge Shave gel price of $2.99 on page 12 of the flyer reflects the EasySaver coupon. So, its actually $3.99, plus the ES coupon, and the printable…its still $1.99. That happens to me a lot when I glance at what I assume is the sale price then deduct the ES coupons and MF coupons in my head, then get pretty deflated when I realize they haven’t really marked the item down at all. Thanks for your hard work!
Doritos are BOGO at Walgreens this week!
I know there probably aren’t any coupons to be found anywhere to make this an even sweeter deal, but full sized bags for under $2 are extremely hard to come by!
Also on sale this week is the BIC Soleil Razor for $4.99. There is a printable on their website for $2 off, and another coupon that was in a newspaper flyer recently for a FREE pack of 4 cartridges when you purchase a razor. So, you can get a razor and cartridge pack for $3!!!
(One minor detail is the price of the cartidges.. the coupon says it cannot exceed $6.99.. anyone know the price at Walgreens?)
My Walgreens maked the shaving cream down for me when I went in with the easysaver and MF coupons. The manager had to come over but he did marked it down for me.
I’m new to the Walgreens deals, but I’ve read somewhere (not sure if it was this blog or elsewhere) where someone said to wait for the Edge Shave Gel till the end of the month when June’s catalogue comes out and stack May’s ES coupon and June’s ES coupon. Is this allowed?
I just posted on my blog about my savings at Walgreens. http://vocationofmotherhood.typepad.com/vocation_of_motherhood/2008/05/walgreens-shopping-trip.html
Thanks for a great site, I’ve gained a lot of insight!

24 count Excedrin are $1.99 and there have been recent newspaper and printable coupons for $2. I found 3 different Excedrin on any size coupons in my coupon files
Hi Crystal,
I just wanted to remind all your coupon savvy readers that the May and June ES Booklet overlaps on May 30-31. There are several deals to take advantage of using the IVC’s. Hope it helps someone save a few extra bucks if they’re going that way anyway!
Just wanted to let users know that I went in Walgreens today to get the Chex Mix with the coupon and they denied me. The manager was also rude and basically wanted no part of me. They said that because the coupon was higher than the total, they could not give me the coupon price. Just wanted to let users know but I can’t say I am thrilled about it at this point.
I had the same problem with the clerk not being willing to adjust the coupon down… I had this problem before with the Zantac deal a few weeks ago. So today, after explaining the problem to the manager, and mentioning to her that she will get reimbursed from the manufacturer for the coupon (ie, she’s not losing money on me!) I asked if she could price adjust the Chex mix *up* to $1.00. This seemed to be no problem for her to do, and she was quite willing to try it. It worked, and I got my two packages of Chex mix for free! So if they can’t adjust the coupon value down, ask them to adjust the price of the item up to the coupon value.
I also had the problem with the Chex coupon. I’m new to this…but I did ask if she could adjust the coupon down. She said she couldn’t. I agree with the previous comment about them not losing anything, since it is a manufacturers coupons.
Thanks Crystal for all the help on getting the best deals! It’s great for a newbie.
The clerk at my store said they had all just been taught how to adjust the coupon’s down as in the case of the .99 Chex mix. Though she could not remember how to do it right she called over a manager who helped take care of it and I got my 2 bags free.
If anyone uses Zaditor eye drops, there is a $2 coupon in the May easy saver and a $2 coupon on the Zaditor website. Regular price at my Walgreens is $14.99. Just thought I would pass that on to any one who uses it as it is pricy.
I am new to this, but can someone tell me what IVC stands for? Thanks.
